My MacBook does not have any USB Type-A ports only Type-C. I am constantly hooking up external connections such as card readers and hard drives. This cable is perfect and inexpensive. I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I also recommend getting an adapter that has a mini USB port on the adapter so you can keep your tablet charging while you use it with the USB device. 5 |
