Eye Discomfort After Using Eclipse Glasses

These glasses provided excellent eye protection and a superb image of the eclipse.

The eclipse glasses arrived quickly and had a cute design. No one experienced eye injury from using them, hence five stars.

After another vendor cancelled my eclipse glasses order 5 days after I had placed it (and on the day I was expecting it to arrive), it was a scramble to find another set. B&H did not have any in stock but had a posted ETA and offered free overnight delivery to get new glasses to it's customers on time. They met the demand and kept me informed of the shipment details. Great Customer Service!

There were many eclipse glasses on line, but I was concerned whether they really were approved. After some research, I found B&H which was recommended in several articles. The glasses arrived before the expected date and were well packaged. We're ready for the eclipse!

After researching eclipse glasses I found these to be what I was looking for at the price I wanted to pay. I haven't used them yet because the eclipse hasn't happened yet.

The eclipse glasses worked great!

I bought the +1.5 diopter for my Leica M3 SS because when wearing glasses, I can't see the 50mm frame lines. My prescription strength is +1.75 (far-sighted) and the closest diopter values are either +1.5 or +2. I was concerned about magnification so I went with the former. After placing the order, I learned that the eye piece has a -0.5 correction. After cursing under my breath, I decided not to jump the gun and cancel the order and go for the +2.0 version. I held out. The day delivery was expected, I decided to unscrew the view piece to give it a good cleaning, inside and out with a fine cloth and some cleaning solution. Out of curiosity, while I had my glasses on and the eye piece off the camera, I looked through the finder and it was blurry. So, it appears the -0.5 correction is functionally necessary for 20/20 vision, thus nullifying it's effect on diopters. I received the new diopter and screwed it into the stock eyepiece. The frame lines, the patch and the outside world were TACK SHARP. So, to me, it appears the correction value on the diopter is actual and compensating for the stock view piece is totally unnecessary.

I love this thing, I have a few now. Even use them on my eye glasses.
