Yeah I am just like you - never spent much on a keyboard but got by fine ... but if you look at your keyboard now - missing keys, faded, hair, crumbs, dust - you name it all caught up in those cracks. I finally did not cut this corner, blame it on the late night purchase but pulled the trigger. For 3 days I was like did I just spend 140.00 on a keyboard!? However, arrived and open and This keyboard is a Ferrari - awesome! heavy, backlit, easy to control and helps me edit like a dream, its just quality and the keys feel great, yeah it is not cheap but we spend all our money on hardware and this you can actually feel and touch this and you will appreciate. signed Production Dude.

Reveiwing is not my forte, but this digital piano is so good it cannot be ranked on a normal scale, you C. The keys are weighted perfectly (much better than my previous Yamnaha keyboard: a DGX-305), and the sound quality is a major triumph. The only downside-- and I do not mean to be sharp about this-- is the lack of a screen, spcifically for clear and simple metronome usage. Other than that, this has been the best digital keyboard I have ever played.

Wonderful looking keyboard with keys that make you feel like you're playing a real piano. We bought the stand and the yamaha stool! We made a perfect choice! Sound is immaculate!

I needed a light weight digital piano with 88 weighted keys, I can't think of any other keyboard that has such great action with such light weight! Add on top of that the amazing sounds this keyboard has! Great service from B&H also!

Great for my 5 year old and me (both beginners). We had been using SA-76 44 key toy, which is also fun and was ideal to dip our toes into real piano lessons, now this keyboard is a massive and natural step up without being so serious as to be intimidating or boring. In comparison to SA-76, big plusses is this keyboard is even more FUN (with DJ mixing, percussion, hundreds instruments) and still pretty lightweight and solid, with standard sized 61 keys, has metronome, with simulated weight keys, giving my fingers a workout and learning to control loudness by finger velocity. Sound quality is good, though the high notes seem a bit low in volume. Anyway as beginners, we don't notice lack of super duper concert hall resonance soundwaves piano voices anyway, when the goal is to just hit the right keys at approximately the right time as often as we can.

This is the perfect piano for my small apartment. With full weighted keys and 88 key keyboard. It's just what I needed to start my journey to learn to play piano. The sound is excellent. And it takes up very little space. There's so many features. I haven't even gone to explorer yet.

I have been waiting a few years to invest in a keyboard piano with weighted keys. I've had a week to play around with the Alesis and I am ecstatic to continue to rekindle my love for piano. This set is perfect, comes with everything you need. The keys feel like a real piano! Its also a lot bigger than I had anticipated but that isn't a bad thing :)

While the Yamaha keys do feel more like grand piano keys, this keyboard SOUNDS better than the Yamaha 143. recommended.

The keys and action feel great, the piano sounds are realistic, and the keyboard looks better in person. Casio has come a long way with digital pianos and this a real professional grade instrument. Unless you're playing the most technical top level classical music, this will cover all your needs.
