After purchasing a fake replacement bulb by mistake from another online retailer, I was happy to find the genuine part here at B&H. �I can always trust B&H to delivery quality product and this bulb is worth the cost. �The authentic bulbs I've used last 2-3 times longer than the knock-offs and produce a better picture.

I film indie wrestling shows around the country, and these battery packs give us 8 hours of usage on the Panasonic AG-CX10 using the AG-VBR dummy battery adapter. The mounting plate is also hot swappable, and has a fake quarter underneath for unscrewing the camera, which makes teardown after a shoot a breeze. I use this pack in combination with a monopole and a Ulanzi Claw quick release between the pole and the EDGE for our roaming cameras. It's light-weight enough for the camera guys to hold for hours without getting fatigued. They do drain a bit in the stand-by mode (5% over 3-4 days), so I recommend topping it off before a shoot. Also, the full power-save mode is annoying, but I just keep a spare USB battery pack/120 adapter along to charge it (or a SIM card tool on my keychain to push the reset button on the PTAP). It'd be nice if they included a sim tool in the base along with the fake quarter.

I purchased this to scavenge the fake battery with the DC cord (the part of this Watson kit that plugs into the camera's battery bay), in order to create a 12V battery eliminator, which I use for astrophotography from remote sites that do not have AC power available. It worked perfectly! I combined the fake battery part with a separate 12V DC to 8V DC converter (actually a variable output DC to DC converter set to 8V output) that I already had in order to power the camera from a 12V source, such as a vehicle battery, automobile power outlet, or a 12V portable solar power system. This allows shooting all night long in remote locations without worrying about either having enough camera batteries or having to switch out batteries during hours-long photo runs. It also eliminates the heat of the discharging battery from inside the camera body, thereby allowing the camera to run cooler and reducing sensor noise (dark current) I tested the AC adapter and it also worked perfectly. Excellent performance, low price, well made. I recommend this item.

I reviewed this item because I bought this same item from another large national Internet distributor and received a fake battery. It was a working battery but had no InfoLithium microprocessor in it. On reading many customer reviews on that site, I realized that it had been reported as a fake many months prior. The B&H Sony battery is the real deal and of course costs more than the fakes. You can tell if the InfoLithium battery is a fake when you charge it in a Sony charger with display and the display shows no charge timing. Or when you plug the battery into a Sony camera and no battery time remaining is displayed.

Actually, it's more than a battery; it's not a counterfeit. I have been unpleasantly surprised buying supposedly OEM batteries from some on-line outlets only to find them to be fake, fake, fake. I'm pretty confident in B&H that way.
