Fastest M 2 Ssd

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast read and write. One of the fastest, if not the fastest M.2 SSD and the price is reasonable vs other major brand. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung’s 980 Pro is a PCIe 4 M.2 NVMe SSD. This is a high-end product; this is the fastest flash-based SSD I can purchase. From specification, the sequential read and write speed are 6900 Mbps / 5000 Mpbs. Though this quoted performance from Samsung is very exciting,, you will need a system which has PCIe 4 to reach this number. The installation is simple; you will a motherboard or laptop with a capable NVMe supported M.2 slot. You can need to remove laptop back cover; you will need to be careful about that. Samsung has also highlighted Intelligent TurboWrite 2.0 technology which delivers 5 times the buffer size. That means under large workload will not decline the performance. This SSD is also built-in advanced thermal control solutions allow for the drive to perform well at cool temperatures. It is important for me, and I plan to use this SSD to build my AI training server system. Overall, this SSD is fastest SSD I can find from the market, and it has all-new Elpis controller, backwards-compatibility with PCIe 3.0, and NVMe 1.3 support. It is target for gaming user, but, it is also good for my AI training server. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew m.2 ssd's are fast but I never knew how much it can help with my production workload. I've been currently using a regular 2.5 SSD for my video editing and large 4k files still had issues when scrubbing thru the timeline. Ever since I installed this in my pc and started reading and writing files to it, the entire process is seamless. The new Playstation 5 is made to run off of pcie 4.0 m.2 ssd's so I will be sure to test it on there as well when I get my hands on one. With how fast performance is on my pc, I can assume it'll be just as quick on the consoles. Price wise this costs about the same as when I bought my 2.5 SSD when they first came out and for 5 years I've been using that with no problem so this is a great buy for the future as I feel anything faster will have diminishing returns. Samsung once again shows that they're the fastest on the market for both professional and personal storage needs. 5 |

Amazing boot up speed difference between this M.2 drive versus the 2 1/2 SSD in my old computer. 5 |

Must needed part if you plan on using two M.2 SSD hard drives. 5 |

Perfection. Fastest. The best of the best. Keep in mind this is PCIe 4. I think Samsung & Crucial are the best M.2 brands in the market. 5 |

I needed several fast bus powered drive for backups and system clones. This is the fastest 4TB solution I could find. I tested this on macOS with Black Magic's disk test for sequential I/O. This drive yields 684 / 595 MB/s R/W. There are faster bus powered Thunderbolt 3 solutions - for example G-Drive Mobile Pro TB3 does 2470 / 2230, but being NVMe M.2 based it is currently limited to 2TB, and is much more expensive per megabyte. I am hoping for larger M.2 drives soon. 5 |
