I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I also recommend getting an adapter that has a mini USB port on the adapter so you can keep your tablet charging while you use it with the USB device. 5 |

I have used a LaCie Rugged USB External Hard Drive as a backup device for over 10 years. This is a very reliable product. When I purchased a new computer with a Type C drive I did not hesitate to upgrade to a LaCie Type C drive knowing it would be just as reliable. 5 |

It is truely one of the fastest portable USB 3.0 hard drive out there. It also has smaller form factor. So the price is right. The USB 3.0 cable could be longer. I had to donwload My Passport driver from the WD site to make my PC recognize the drive (on WinXP SP3). Another anoying thing, why some portable drives put their LED or activity light on the wrong end!! I will purchase many more of this, for this price or less. 5 |
