Fender F 95 Acoustic Guitar

I vacillated over which mic I should buy to pair up with my acoustic guitar and my Fender Acoustic Junior amp. This turned out to be ideal.

The minute I attached this filter to my new lens (Leica 50/f.95 Nocti) I felt a sense of gratification as the filter is nearly as well built and silky smooth to handle as the Nocti and THAT is saying something!! The optics seem excellent.

I use this on a GH5 and I'm impressed. Sharpness at f.95 looks very good, especially center of frame. I was using the Canon 1.8 STM 50mm with a Viltrox EF-M2 lens adapter, which allowed me to stop down to f1.3, but the image I was getting was fairly soft. Bought this to replace it, albeit a bit wider than the 50mm (1.6x crop w/ Viltrox) but the image looks much sharper. Was also impressed with the build quality. It's a compact lens but it has some weight to it. Feels very sturdy and aperture and focus rings turn smoothly with clickless aperture. All and all, I would definitely recommend for someone that may be a little skeptical because of the price. Oh yeah, the little case it ships in is a nice touch, too.

My wife and I shoot weddings with 2 Panasonic GH4s and obviously the lighting at receptions was a problem. We used this lens at the reception we shot last night, at f.95, and it was incredible. It was so much fun to shoot people dancing without having to blast a light in their face, more people played to the camera instead of looking at us like a nuisance, and the insane depth of field just made the footage look cooler. The image we were capturing was brighter than what we saw with our eyes. Even at f.95 I didn't think pulling focus was very difficult, and the lens seemed to smooth out the GH4's noise somehow even at iso1600. I highly recommend this lens as an alternative to a speed booster if you need better low light performance out of your MFT camera.
