File Cabinet Box

I Ordered the 120L Ruggard Cabinet. It came in a box framed in wood for support. Inside the box the cabinet was packaged further for added protection. Everything came out together except the Handel needed to be put in with a Phillips head screwdriver. The cabinet fits my complete cinema rigs along with lens, cameras, batteries, and stabilizers. It also looks great. It was a great deal on sale, thank you B&H.

This review is for the 50L cabinet. The shipping box is way above average, meaning the product is well protected. It won't stop a forklift tine, but will survive substantial mishandling with the triple wall box, reinforced corners, and interior foam spacers. The build of the cabinet is sturdy and well crafted. All seams and corners are well fitted. Testing the power consumption, about 6.2 watts when the TEM cooler is on (cooler cycles like a refrigerator). Operation of the cabinet is absolutely quite due to the TEM cooler design. The interior lights are a joke, but may be helpful if you're groping in the dark. A continuous light strip would be better. The sculpted foam for lenses is another joke unless you have lenses under 70mm in diameter. That was replaced with a thin sheet of foam like the two other foam sheets they provide. My 200-500mm Nikon zoom with tripod foot fits on the lower deck in the 50L cabinet if put in diagonally with room for a couple lenses and accessories. As for the dehumidifier operation, the ambient humidity has been in the low 30% range this month, so haven't been able to test this out. Need to wait until summer when humidity gets nasty.

The shipping box that the cabinet arrived in was well padded so it arrived in perfect condition. Sleek styling with five pull out shelves and two padded stationary shelves. Pull out shelves are plastic, which I'm not crazy about, but they are sturdy and when loaded with gear function well. Have a little bounce when fully extended but I don't get the feeling that it will be a problem. The doors have to be fully opened to extend the shelves, otherwise they catch on the seal. There is an LED lighting strip down the right side of the cabinet that illuminates adequately. A little smaller than I had expected but it holds all my sensitive gear with a little room to grow. Took about 18 hours to drop the humidity to 40%, which is the lowest setting. Makes no noise at all. Door locking mechanism floats around a bit but I think that it just needs to be tightened and that will not be an issue. Comes with two keys. Would recommend this cabinet for any photographer with a moderate amount of gear.

Bought this to be able to control my stereo, DVD player and cable box that is in a cabinet. It works great and was really easy to set up. Thanks!

Just added this camera as one more tool in my equipment cabinet. The only negative right out of box is not much grip when using one handed. Fixed that right away by getting a grip made by JJC - that addition improved the ergonomics 1000%. I always shoot in RAW and then edit in LR Mobile on my iPAD (mini 6) - the images are stunning - this camera punches way above its weight class. Worth every penny.

The cabinet came quickly, and was packaged well, with a wood frame built over the box. I had been concerned from other reviews about the risk of shipping damage, but whether the frame around it, or the quality packing in the box, there was no damage to the cabinet at all. It was quickly set up and the dual zone have been helpful, as I am using it to store both Camera equipment, as well as a few rare books i want to keep safe!

This is a very large shipment, and will come as Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight most likely. You need to arrange ahead of time for the best place to accept delivery because your house may not be the be able to handle a full size semi in your driveway. Luckily, B&H worked well with me and the freight company to arrange the best delivery. We got it into the back of my truck, glass facing up. It is double packed with typical styrofoam and cardboard with an additional thin plywood outer box. It was very well packed and protected and arrived in perfect shape. A hammer and pry bar, and box cutter were all that was needed to free the cabinet from its protections. Once the cardboard was cut away from the base, it was able to roll right off the base packing and right into place since its final destination was on the same level as the garage floor where I unloaded it. It rolls very easily, and the wheels lock well. Fit and finish are excellent. and is simple to plug in and set up. After a few hours of operation, humidity inside the cabinets were dead on of what they were set at. The seals on the doors are like a magnetic refrigerator door, which makes it seem like the entire cabinet is dust proof. Overall, very happy.

This dry cabinet is a great way to keep your PLA/PETG/ABS filament away from that nasty humidity. The dry box only gets down to about 25%. I have a small laundry bag full of desiccant that I put into the enclosure. I can get the humidity to around 21% now. I highly recommend this cabinet.

The cabinet arrived well protected with styrofoam cushioning inside a thick cardboard box with surrounding wood crating. The shelves were in place and padding was already on the shelves. It was easy to set up. The front two feet are screw down to keep it from rocking. It plugged in and turned on immediately. As has been stated by others, the shelves are plastic and feel cheap. They work and when pulled out they remain in place supporting the equipment. There’s no fancy slides and rollers like a kitchen drawer. We’ll see how they last, long term. The 120L cabinet is large enough for my lenses, cameras and flash. It allows me to organize and consolidate things. Overall, I’m glad I purchased it. It should protect my gear during the muggy summer months.

This drive is small, simple, and file transfer is very quick. Ready to use right out of the box. Does everything well, at a very reasonable price. I bought this on sale, which made it even better. Easily stored when not in use.
