Film Streaming Cinema

If you're just stating out in the world of cinema film, this is the perfect lens. Great with focus, no breathing.

Using for my 8mm film / 35mm slide micro-cinema... My sound support... Simple set-up with an iPhone...has 2 channel RCA inputs w/gain controls. Patch directly to the 'Thump Go' speaker... Can add an additional 'Mackie' power speaker...has a XLR output. Hope my thoughts are helpful.

I researched each type of cinema camera before deciding to purchase the Blackmagic 6K Pro. I was already a Canon user so my EF lenses would be compatible with the 6k Pro body. There were certain specific features that were the determining factors to pull the trigger on the purchase. features like: * Built-in ND Filters that help with shooting outside * The ability to film in 6k and 4k 60fps. * You can film and record in BRAW or ProRes * Dual native ISO * XLR mini ports * Full HDMI port * cfast and sd card (also accepts SSD) I have no regrets about this purchase. The most significant change is utilizing a focus wheel versus relying on auto-focus like the Canon cameras.

Everybody using an MFT camera for filmmaking (especially those with the Blackmagic Pocket 4K), should have a set of Cinema Prime lenses. Zooms are for the 'Instagram Generation.' If you are going to make narratives you need a firm grasp of film grammar. Prime lenses are the fundamentals of film grammar. For a while Veydra had the high ground on MFT primes, but they have left this earth, never to return. Now Meike has stepped up with their set of Cinema Prime Lenses. They are actually really good, and the prices are incredibly low for the build quality and image sharpness. The 12mm Prime is an excellent lens - it is in the medium focal length range with an MFT camera. It works very well with my Blackmagic 4K camera. I plan on acquiring a full set soon.

This review is a long time coming. I purchased my GH5s from B&H in 2019 and it has consistently yielded me superb images from HD to C4K. Pretty darned good for a five year old camera! I have been shooting every type of media content you can think of but this camera really shines when used for independent filmmaking. You can rig it out as sophisticated as you want or you can slap a 20 mm Panasonic pancake lens on the front and shoot fantastic cinema quality footage in public (stealth mode) without anyone the wiser! If you think I'm kiddin', just show up in public with a tricked out cinema rig and see what happens! People will interrupt your filming with comments ranging from Hey! Waddaya doin'? Makin' a movie? (DUH) or Do you have permission to film here? or, worse case scenario, people start heckling you by constantly yelling Action! Cut! or driving back and forth by your set honking the horn. Well, not anymore with this baby because when you have this camera scaled down in public, folks think you're just taking pictures (big deal!) and leave you alone. I love this camera and just used it yesterday for a nine minute indy shoot for an upcoming film festival and the video footage still looks amazing, even at HD! There's a reason this camera still costs over 2K! Investigation Discovery Channel filmmakers use this camera for their network content. No surprise there!

I am using this lens on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera (film stuff) and it is terrific. Great clarity, excellent focus. The lens is smooth and quiet. Performs very well in low light situations. For the price, this lens is worth every penny.

I used the Blackmagic Cinema Camera in college and decided to get my own film camera after I graduated. I had my eye on this for a long time and finally decided to pull the trigger. It's amazing! The touch screen menu makes changing the settings lightning fast and the image quality is unbeatable in this price range. The only downside is the battery life. But, there's a wall plug and other battery upgrades available, so it's only a minor inconvenience for me.

This is the most technologically advanced film you can buy that uses c41 chemistry. The only more advanced films are cinema films using ECN2. You can't go wrong with this film. Shoot it at 100, 200, or 400 and get great results.

The sound really draws you into the film/program you are watching on TV. The audio streaming is so simple and easy to use.

Great little backup drive. I uses these for editing film and Streaming projects and have never had an issue with them. They are cheap enough these days to buy for individual projects.
