Film Vs Digital Cameras

Film is film. Won't work on digital cameras. 5 |

I still enjoy film photography even though I have several digital cameras. This battery with the help of B&H keeps me enjoying photography. 5 |

Having been a Leica shooter for many years with film cameras, it seemed your right thumb naturally went for the film advance lever when using the camera...the first thing you miss on the digital bodies. I never bought one of these for my first digital M - the M8 - but I'm delighted with how this feels on my M (typ240). It slotted in perfectly in the hot shoe and seems to be precision built. I often shoot with the 21mm accessory finder so I need one with the cold shoe...and this works perfectly. 5 |

Been using Cokin since 1978 with Film Cameras. Now on Digital.. Can switch very quickly from one filter to another, good for rapid changing weather/light conditions. 5 |

..and a slightly more subdued color palette VS its 400 speed sister film, making it especially suited for color landscape shots. The price for all this is a lowered exposure latitude, especially towards the lower end. 5 |

I have these on all my film and digital cameras. They are interchangeable. I have added the adapter for the wrist strap on my right wrist. Secure and comfortable. 5 |

i use this lens on both leica film cameras and on a Sony NEX-5 for digital. It is very well built and very versatile. I love the 1.5 aperture for portraits and I find the bokeh very pleasing. Some do not like the style of the photos generated by this lens, but I do very much. On the Sony, it is a joy to use and very easy to manually focus with the focus peaking feature and manual assist. it takes 46mm filters so you may have to get a new size if your other leica lenses are 39mm. 5 |

This is my first DSLR, having shot film since 1980, and so far, I really like this camera. Since I have nearly zero experience with digital photography, the learning curve has been very steep for me, but as I gain some time and experience with it, I am finding that it just works as it should. I have collected lot of Nikon glass over the years, and this camera can use it all, even my pre-AI 300mm F4.5 telephoto lens. which mounts just fine. The price and availability of color films is what finally made me decide to try digital. Had Kodak Ektar 100 not more than doubled in price, I would still be happily shooting color film and avoiding digital altogether. I still shoot black and white film, and will continue to do so as long as it is available for sale. But for color, the Nikon D780 will be my main camera. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, and I'm happy that there are still DSLR cameras available for sale. I'm not very excited about mirrorless cameras. I guess I'm just getting old. 5 |
