Filmmaking Sound Equipment

i use this product in filmmaking.

This product is utilized by our advanced filmmaking students. While they are comfortable with state of the art equipment, they can be hard on the stuff. I look for deals, but quality lasts longer. This just holds up. Period.

I must admit, I'm a fan of Matthews equipment. This is a very good stand, a ,e to take the rigors of filmmaking. Love the spring cushioned risers when lowering each section with a light in place.

I'm using this to connect Rode NtG2 to an ipad for my kids' filmmaking classes. It's a great compromise for this purpose since 10-year-old attention spans do not allow for synching up sound from another source! This gets the mic closer (using with the Rode micro boom pole) and the sound is crisp and clear.

I use this mostly for mastering and recording audio to video. I do weekly YouTube filmmaking how-to episodes and there are times when I can't always sit down to map out the perfect way to the get the right sound. In those instances, I just plug these wonderful headphones into my Zoom H4n handy recorder to just make sure the levels are right and I can honestly say that no other headphones sound even remotely close to this one. I have not used many high-end headphones, but of the ones that I have used these are pristine. Crystal clear sound (clearer than real life to be honest), comfy fit, very mobile, compact... everything you could want in a pair of field monitoring headphones!

I purchased this for use in Filmmaking after I've rented and used this Microphone on a recent short film I shot and it does outperform the rest of the microphones I had on my list for consideration: The Sennheiser MKH 416, the Audio Technica AT8035 and AT8015 as well as the Sennheiser ME 66. Rich and pristine Sound quality with excellent Sound reproduction while rejecting interference from frequencies that would normally interfere with other Microphones on a budget price. Well built with a Storage Cylinder and Pop filter, both supplied by the manufacturer. It is also Phantom Power as this is the best way for a Shotgun Microphone of this quality to give you the clean sound you need for your production. If you take the recommendations of the Manufacturer, thou shall receive optimum performance from yee Microphone.
