I had shot with dslr'some up until I got this camera. I had heard about mirrorless, and the translucent mirrors the Sony cameras have. Decided to pull the trigger on this one after much research, and when I friend told me he had the GH4 and really liked panasonic. I loved it so much I instantly bought another one. I shoot short marketing videos for different social media platforms. This camera works great for me, it light weight, and durable. I dropped it in the snow the other day while shooting a promo video for a local skate shop on the ski hill. I was terrified, but I quickly blew off the snow, (and it was covered) and it was fine.
