I have been in the movie business for over 12 years. The Pelican cases never age, yet I personally am showing wear. In that 12 years I have used Pelican cases for a variety of different things: cameras, lenses, walkies, microphones, etc... All the expensive hardware go into the Pelican. My son age 12 and I built this computer and I can tell you that the speed is amazing. For the price it's totally worth it. Can't find anything processor better than this one right here.I recommend to anyone who has never had experience building computers.

I recently returned to my astronomy hobby after a 45 year gap. I had built my own 6 Newtonian at age 12 and still have it. It is not very portable, and I wanted to upgrade to a system with tracking and GOTO. This package at B&H proved to be a great starter kit. Fair warning - I have had so much fun with this that I keep adding accessories for photography, extra eyepieces, etc.

My old Mac G-4 died and went on to its eternal reward so I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to the 8-Core Mac Pro for my editing bay. I seriously considered the single 6-Core Mac Pro, but realized it was pretty much maxed out with little flexibility to upgrade. Because I primarily edit HD video I felt 8 cores is more than ample for Final Cut Pro, especially with the release of the 64-bit Final Cut Pro X. If my business depended on intensive graphic and 3D animation, then I would by all means have purchased the 12-Core Mac Pro. I added 24 GB RAM and a NEC 27-inch display along with 10 TB of hard drive space for editing and archiving. By all means get the Mac Pro model with the Radeon 5870 graphics card--well worth the extra money for the upgrade. If you're just editing in FCP, get the 8 Core model rather than the 12 Core and put the extra money you save into RAM and a nice display.

If you are a photo student and need a portfolio for your final project or final submission for your photo class, get this! You may or may not need all 12 sheets but it is worth having the extra pages. Easy to carry and show off your prints while protecting them.
