This works well for: portable disk drives HP Calculators 16C, 15C, 12C Small radios such as Kato portables Ipods VOM's, and other small instrumentsOther small portable items that must be transported. Seem durable. I own several cases like this one some for over a year and they hold up very well. Nice product.

I decided to try this unique paper out,,great way to try new paper without a large financial commitment.

I bought 3 of these all in all, along with 2 of the spotlights. You can dial the brightness up or down so you can see what your lighting ratios look like before you trip the shutter.

I have never used a light meter before, but took a lighting class, and learned about Ratios, it was obvious I needed a light meter..so I chose the Gossen due to its relatively inexpensive, and does what I need..

Easy to use and frame a shot. Adjusts for a number of aspect ratios and lenses. Perfect.

Can down convert HD-SDI to Composite in various aspect ratios and take the embeded audio to analog or digital!

The Manfrotto 454 is made from thick aluminum and doesn't allow much flex from the camera weight: good. With the brass knob adjusted properly, the thumb screws operates smoothly and without much play. The screw thread is about right for magnification ratios of 0.5 to 2 - good for focus stacking. It would be too fine for lower ratios, although the brass knob can be loosened and the lever can be pulled for large-scale movements. The screw drive does prevent the camera from running away at steep inclination angles.

This is a very flexible lighting system for close-up. I use it primarily handheld in the field. With my D300 it gives consistently good results. The ability to vary the lighting ratios and position the flash heads contribute to good modeling on the subject. I would recommend the SU800 option even if the camera has CLS built in, because of the ease of setting lighting ratios. The Lithium batteries have a long life with lots of flashes and quick recycling.

This lighting set up is adjustable for distance and power. Also left and right ratios can be manually adjusted. I have done fully manual as well as ttl. The kit has lens rings for many sizes of lens. I also use it for some portraits. It does everything I expected.
