It’s like you’re there. The physics are amazing. The game play is fun.

Lots of articulations that play well together. I also find the synchron player easier/faster to use than Vienna's older Vienna Instrument player or Kontakt based sample sets. Note that Elite sits somewhere between Chamber and Pro/I orchestra in terms of number of strings. I find that the number of strings in the Pro/I orchestra is enough that you lose some of that sense of 'bow on string'. With Elite you still hear some of that 'bow on the string'. Layering Elite on Pro is also really useful.

I'm gonna put it to you straight: I love this thing.Great things about it? Multiple fingering modes, two banks, rechargeable, wireless with ridiculously low latency (even when battery gets low) and a sound editor software that delivers. Having higher quality sounds compared to EWI4000s is great and being able to layer or octave those sounds without being hooked up to a computer is great for random creativity. For starters, it has a good sound that is actually adaptive to your style of play. I went through the whole of the sound bank and was pleased as I believe it's a true update. There will be uninformed haters out there that will say the sounds are not realistic or sound kazoo-like after listing to samples through a YouTube video, but what they're failing to realize is that it is an EWI, not a reed instrument; and, YouTube sound quality considering the source material and player isn't always that great. The EWI accomplishes everything it set out to and does not misrepresent what it can do in its instruction manual or marketing. I find that if I do a forceful brass hit or a strong blow using the saxophone sounds that there is a distinct difference in how the sound is presented and how it is carried. I find this ability built into the vast majority of sounds I use. These are the great things about the instrument.Areas in need of improvement? Let's see.. some thought that having a wireless MIDI ability would be useful, but honestly, I don't find this that important. Use a cord or acquire a wireless setup that you trust and believe in. Being able to load your own sounds? Get an iPad or a computer, VST library and software and use a cord. Again, I don't find this to be a hang-up. I owned the EWI4000s and did just fine with cords. I did fine then and I'll do fine now.All in all a great buy. Highly recommended. Highly responsive. Highly customizable. And a highly prized member of my instrument collection.

I find this pickup to work incredibly well on a variety of instruments including upright bass, mandolin (octave and regular size), cello and guitar. I'm sure there are more, yet this is what I've used them on so far. Because the unit is so easily mounted and dismounted (simply press it in place and pull it off when done), you can put it anywhere on the instrument to find it's sweet spot. This creates a lot more possibilities than a fixed bridge or internally mounted pickup and since it's not a permanent installation will give you maximum pure acoustic sound when it's dismounted. The AKG 411 series sound much more natural than other pickups I've used or heard others use. I chose the 411-PP (Phantom Power) model because I run it straight into a phantom powered mixer. This mixer feeds a Bose L1 PAS system and sounds amazing. When I use the 411-PP with an amp, I use a little 2 channel phantom powered mixer that outputs into the amp's 1/4 inch input. I've not experienced feedback issues with either of these configurations. The AKG 411-L model requires an expensive XLR adapter cable to use it with a phantom powered mixer. It does however offer a battery pack option which works better for a wireless setup. Some folks are leery of using the adhesive to connect the 411 element to the instrument, yet I've found it to be harmless and very good at retaining a solid grip after many uses. My only caution is to be careful not to remove the element by prying one end up, in that the ridge can inflict a small dent in the wood. If it's pulled off evenly, no issues.

While i can see some of it in the 360 perspective, i find it forgiving enough for what it gives you. Quality light instrument. Battery lasts long time.

This little gem simply exudes quality and elegance! From the moment that I opened the perfectly fitted packaging, I could see that this was a truly superior instrument. The build quality is outstanding, and the image is crisp and clear from edge to edge; color rendition is excellent The view while wearing glasses is no problem due to the well-designed retractable eyecup. The included leather case is also extremely elegantperhaps too elegant to take into the field. It is also rather bulky which somewhat defeats the purpose of buying a compact monocular. I simply aquired a small nylon pouch which I find to be much more practical. The close-up lens is an interesting feature, but I really foresee no practical use for it. Something not mentioned in the product description is that a nice wrist strap is included, but I ordered the optional neck strap which I find to be much more useful. Some reviews that I have read about monoculars mention that they are hard to hold steady, but this is not true as long as they are held properly. Any 8X instrument requires two hands to holdmonOCULAR means one eye, not one hand! Overall, I find this to be a highly useful glass for the vast majority of my viewing needsIt fills a previously empty niche in the world of optics. As capable as the Monovid is though, I whish that Leica would offer one with a larger objective, like 32mm... this would not add much to the size and weight, but would result in performance equal to the full-size binoculars. One other thing not mentioned in the product description is that the Monovid is made in PortugalI knew that Leica has production facilities there, but was a bit surprised. I have read though, that some consider the Portuguese Leica optics to be sharper than those produced in Germany. I consider the price of the Monovid to be a real bargain for a piece of this quality!

I was surprised to find out that this instrument is all-metal except for the suction cups. I was expecting plastic for most of the instrument. It is more robust than I expected and I have test-used it inside and outside the car. No worry about tne Fat-Gecko loosing its grip.It is better than all other contraptions and should have bought it earlier.Thank you B&H ...
