The Best Mirrorless camera of 2018. I bought it via B&H Photo Video along with adapter and 24-70 f4 lens and its the sharpest lens and has vibrant colors and auto focus/tracking is the best in both Photo/Video. One of the best continuous auto focus camera which Nikon has produced for Video and it tracks the subject very well. If u are the Nikon shooter then u should grab it immediately. Its low light capability is another powerful feature and its in par with Sony alpha series. Battery performance is great but not the best - I was able to get around 700 raw files with one battery and thats almost double than what they mentioned in the advertisement ie. around 350 plus pics. Anyway I got 2 extra batteries for this camera so that i can shoot more photo/video diring events. ——- Downside —— Single XQD memory card slot but thats ok as i can take a risk on it. Never seen failure in my SD cards since i started photography in 2013 so I can take that risk.

Best addition to the camera. For the price it is an asset to any photography who wants quality close ups with a mirrorless camera.

Great camera. After using full size for many years, most recently the Nikon 850, I find the mirrorless easy to use and get great results. So far I love it.

I coming from Nikon DSLR to this mirrorless is practically seamless. I find the autofocus very responsive with adapted lens and its video features makes this a leading edge camera. I look forward to making a full review. My only complaint is the lag of boot up when camera goes into sleep mode and a slight lag while moving fast in the view finder.

We photographers know that there is no perfect camera or the best camera. You can get very close to perfection if you have lots of money to spend, but you can still find a few misses in a very expensive camera. The trick is to find a camera that suits your needs and budget, and provides great image quality (still and video), ergonomics, build quality, good range of lenses, user-friendly menu, great auto focus and reasonable low light performance. The G85 has all of these and more. Add details such as card slot on the side, battery compartment away from the tripod mount, full tilting screen, in-body image stabilization (IBIS), 3.5 mm mic jack, weather-sealed, metal front body and no shutter shock, and you have a winner. Check thecamerastoreTV video on YouTube. They provide a thorough review of the G85. The G85 has a 16MP sensor but without the filter, giving you an image quality similar to a 20MP camera. It does not feel plasticky like some other mirrorless cameras out there. I always used the Canon DSLRs in the past but gave them to my daughter, who is now into photography. I was looking for a smaller but still reliable digital camera with great stills and video capabilities to capture our travels and outdoor activities. After weeks of online research, I decided to purchase the G85 and firmly believe it is one of the best mirrorless in its class. It is also robust and feels like a smaller SLR, i.e., it feels like you are holding a real camera, not a toy. Highly recommended.

I have a number of Nikon lenses, so in buying my first mirrorless camera I stuck with Nikon. I was a little leery, since it is their first version of this camera, but in working with it I find it to be extremely well designed with excellent performance. Ken Rockwell's review (see his web site) set my mind at ease before purchase with his extensive testing and commentary comparative with other cameras. This camera is well built and very intuitive. The controls are easy to find and use without having to dig into layers of the menu. The results are stunning. I'm glad I bought it. I didn't buy the Z7, since it is essentially the same camera but with a higher resolution sensor with would give much larger files at a higher price, which I don't need.

Being recently retired, I find myself traveling more and more. My main camera is a nikon D90, however, it is way too heavy to carry all the time. I've been looking at mirrorless cameras for awhile and finally made the decision to purchase the Sony a6000. What a great decision! The a6000 lives up to it's reviews. Easy to use and beautiful photos. For the price you can't go wrong with this mirrorless gem.
