Firewire Card For Desktop Computer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic SD Card from Samsung ! I have been looking for a SD card now for a while and I think I found the perfect one. I love the very fast transfers speeds both from the card to a computer or desktop and from a computer or desktop to the card. I have been using it in my Samsung TV, Samsung Tablet, Samsung Phone, and Nintendo Switch. I have even used it to watching movies in my car :-) My wife has also used it for her pro camera and it works there as well. It can hold almost 175,000 pictures. I will never used another sd card from any other company. I'm sticking to Samsung only for all my needs.

Just insert your memory card, connect to your computer, click on the icon on your desktop and you have your pix..

If you've got the old camcorder that needs a FireWire cable for computer input, this cable proves to be smooth as butter.

It has all the things I like on a desktop. Enjoy the speed. To sum it up. I like the computer.

Added storage drive to my desktop computer.

Retired my FireWire card reader and replaced it with this one. It works perfectly and even seems to transfer the video quicker than the fire wire one.

This product allows me to still use my firewire which as I've been told has been discontinued. The firewire is a very fast card reader as anyone who has used one knows. However, the firewire only uses the old memory card size making it impossible to read the small SD cards. This adaptor solves the problem beautifully.( It also allows you to use the smaller cards in cameras that use the larger memory cards) . The best part of the story is how a young woman employee at B&H ( The New York store at 34th and 9th ) was knowledgeable and patient enough to listen to my dilemma. She immediately knew the solution to my problem and sent me on my way with a smile. She deserves a raise. Thank you B&H.

I use a Presonus Firestudio Project, which uses a Firewire connection, in my home studio. Of course, Firewire is a dead standard but I had seen that Apple had a converter to go from Firewire to Thunderbolt, so when I ordered my ASUS Republic of Gamers computer from B&H of course I ordered the Apple converter too. Unfortunately what I didn't realize was that the Thunderbolt end was the older, larger connector, and the computer had a USB-C/Thunderbolt connector that's a different size. So I still couldn't make the last mile. I ordered this converter, and it works perfectly. A couple of words of caution, though. It didn't work right away, not because of the converter but because of quirks in the Presonus hardware and their Studio One software. If you're looking at this for the same reason, be sure to remember to install Universal Control off the disk that came with the hardware first. Then download the update. It might take a few restarts to get the computer to see the Firestudio Project and get the light to turn blue. Once you've done that, if you're using Studio One and it doesn't show up automatically you can manually select it as the audio device. Then you'll be good to go. This converter has been a lifesaver. I can now record again, and I don't have to try to talk my wife into letting me buy a new audio interface!
