Firmware For Canon

This is a very good lens. As any lens they are compromises but I think this is the one for me. -The lens itself looks and feel like a precision instrument, like a lens should be made. The rubber rings are very precise, I like it. It feels well balanced on my Canon 6D Mark II despite its weight. - Autofocus. I like to have autofocus on wide angles too. I understand Sigma did some firmware fixes about this, and for me it works great. - Optically this is very good. There may sharper out there (on published curves) but I like what I see especially for its flat field at infinity and near zero rectilinear distortion. Good colors and contrast, little a bit of flare (seen much worse). - Ironically this lens has support for aberration corrections but this is a lens that really don't need it overall (but read next comment). - The only minor flaw I found is image circle clipping at 14mm making vignette correction at extreme edges difficult between f5.6 to f11. This issue just goes away from 15mm upward, luckily! - Coma. It is there but can be controlled somewhat by focusing manually. Personally I think the amount of coma is acceptable. - Lens is compatible with EOS M5 with aberrations corrections. Tested on a 60Da you do not have corrections. So in conclusion, I give 5 star to thank Sigma for releasing such a great lens. I was a bit unsure about the new Canon 16-35mm III huge vignette at 16mm. I thought about the Tamron too but having no firmware updates and older design was a worry. I owned 14mm primes from Rokinon (f2.8 and f2.4) and was very disappointed by bad centering and lack of versatility. Finally, I'm a bit intrigued by the option to shave the lens hood and also wonder if the gel holder option will be proposed. 5 |

This camera doesn't get as much love as the Sony, Canon, Fuji products but it's an amazing camera, especially after Firmware 3.0. Image quality is amazing, ergonomics are top notch, build quality is premium, the S lenses are optically fantastic, IBIS is great for photo & video, and overall its great to use. I would definitely recommend given its current price point, the release of key S lenses, and improvements brought via Firmware updates. 5 |

I use the VideoMic on the Canon 5D Mk II plugged in directly. With Canon's new firmware this mic does a great great job for its price! It's super high quality and the High Pass filter works wonders! I am somewhat of an amateur crossing over from being a pro photographer. I am familiar with DSLRs and this mic surely has made an impact on my camera bag. I'm sure this mic would be gorgeous coupled with a field recorder. That's my next audio buy. I compared this to the Audio Technica mics found for around $30-$60- for the extra cash the videomic is in another league! 5 |

I bought this for my EOS5D MkII when I learned how to control the audio gain with the Canon firmware upgrade. I shot my friends' rock band and the sound was excellent. 5 |

I give it 4 stars because Westcott is responsive to my needs when I called them. It is not yet TTL ready for my Canon 6D MkII but they say it is on the list in upcoming firmware upgrades. I hope so. That said, when playing around with them in manual they worked better than I expected and it didn't take long before I was producing great portrait shots in spite of never having used strobes before. Come on Westcott, make me even better and issue firmware that fully supports my camera. 5 |

This adapter makes your full-frame Canon lenses work flawlessly with your full-frame Sony E-mount camera, with all the auto focus, zoom, and aperture control a Canon camera body would provide. It is pricey for what it does, but does its job extremely well. I needed to upgrade the firmware (yes, a lens adapter has firmware!) in order to get the autofocus to work with my Sigma 180mm macro lens. The firmware on the Metabones website only indicates support for the Mark IV adapter in the readme file, but the latest upgrade (V0.56) will also work on the newer Mark V with no issues. I strongly recommend upgrading when you pull this one out of the box. Upgrading is accomplished through an app available on their site running on a PC or Mac connected to the micro USB port on the adapter. 5 |

Reedit to update the firmware for my Metabones Canon EF to BMPCC SpeedBooster. Worked well. Pearstone cables are well made an inexpensive. It's good that they make a microUSB cable. 5 |

I connected my Canon 5D Mk IV (had to update firmware first) to my MacBook Air (M1), and ran the Canon EOS Utility for tethered shooting. Works great! When in portrait orientation, I use the RRS Cable Relief Spacer attached to the L-bracket, to provide clearance for the cable. 5 |
