We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5 |

I got mine paired with an OWC Thunderbolt 4 Hub. I updated the firmware and I still get my USB-C SSD drive to disconnect after my MacBook goes to sleep but it reconnects automatically, so I just moved that drive to by studio display connection. Other than that, everything works flawlessly. I had an OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock and this CalDigit is more compact. 5 |

I decided to invest in an external SSD for my GH6 now since external USB SSD Recording is now available with firmware v2.2. Once receiving this drive I performed back to back recordings at the highest PRORES Bitrate available for recording to an approved external SSD. Couldn't break it for 4hrs of writing consistently and erasing the SSD drive using the Panasonic GH6 format utility. Great price and great performance. Thanks B&H 5 |

You can open it with bare hands and unscrew the drive with torx screws. Inside is a WD White label drive. You can put another drive in the enclosure only if you flash the firmware. Short circuit the winbond chip on pins 1 and 2 (1 marked with a dot) while powering it on to get into flash mode, there is a flash tool and firmware on the internet. You can actually edit the firmware with a hex editor and change the manufacturer, product name, ids etc, good fun. 5 |

You can open it and pull the hard drive out with bare hands, 2 screws holding the sata converter board. Inside is a WD White label drive. You can put another drive in the enclosure only if you flash the sata to usb board firmware. Short circuit the winbond chip on pins 1 and 2 (1 marked with a dot) while powering it on to get into flash mode, there is a flash tool and firmware on the internet. You can actually edit the firmware with a hex editor and change the manufacturer, product name, ids etc, good fun. It's using a JMicron chip. 5 |

I bought this Flash Drive as a traveling backup for my photos. Typically, I take between 100Gb and 200Gb of photos on a trip so this gives me plenty of space. The small size is ideal as is the light weight. I connected it to my MacbookPro USB-C using a Uni 4 port USB-A to USB-C hub with no problems.I ran a quick test when I received the drive and it took 2 minutes to transfer just over 15Gb (212 files) from my MacbookPro to the drive. So it's pretty fast. It took just two days to get here (Arizona) from B&H and was cheaper than buying from Amazon. So I'm a happy camper. 5 |
