First Boot Device Usb Flash Drive

Tested with 100GB of video files. First, it reaches around 570~590MB/s. After 15% of copy, it drops to 250~270MB/s. The USB will get hotter after 3mins of copying. Actually, this is way better than any USB flash drive so far. The burst copy is all I need. If you are looking for a consistent super fast speed drive. Get an external SSD, not a USB flash drive.

The Sandisk Dual USB 3.0 / micro-USB Flash Drive is a convenient way to store files that are to be used between PCs and Android devices.  Not having to connect a cable between the PC and the Android device is a plus.  Just plug in the flash drive to move or access the file directly from the PC or device. Nice!

First flash drive was damaged by shipper. B&H sent replacement right away.

Love the speed. OS sits on this drive and boot times are like WOW! First time using this type of drive and I am very pleased with the speed and fast load times.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

The device works well via USB. I have not successfully run it via eSATA. The system hangs on boot in a A2 state, unable to communicate with the drive but I suspect that's more of a controller card issue than the device itself, since it is not the recommended controller but something left over from another project that I tossed in. I can't blame Oyen for that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first NVMe storage device but even coming from an SSD the speeds are night and day, I'm using this one for my boot drive and my PC can be off or asleep and when I turn it on, it's on almost instantly. My drive before I would be able to make a cup of coffee and come back and still have to wait for Windows to fully boot up.

I have bought 6 of these and used them for SuSe Linux Enterprise and OS/2 as the boot drive device using raid 1. They all have worked without any problems. The throughput is good but not as fast as not having a raid. I bought a backup controller that can replace an existing one if needed. Easy to configure (once you discover the CRTL-M to enter setup).
