First Olympus Waterproof Camera

I use this to hold my waterproof Olympus Tough TG-2 while kayaking. Everybody who sees it marvels at the uncomplicated and easy to use design, which allows solid hands-free filming but also drops the camera face down at pull of a tab to turn video on/off, check images, or frame a still, zoom, etc. I tell them it is just as great as it looks. Feels totally comfortable and secure, fits smoothly overtop of my life jacket with good range of adjustment, gives me needed access with no fuss detaching from screw mount to hand camera to others. My one suggestion for improvement: make screw mount bolt from stainless, rustproof materials. Very hard to clean out all water after a day of action, and grease or oil don't mix with my camera or other apparel. Overall I would say this rig beats GoPro hands down, and others who see me using it agree. (I did try GoPro system first, sent it back). This one is a keeper!

I wanted a simple, nice-looking, responsive, waterproof bag for carrying just a camera with a lens attached. There needed to be room for a spare SD card, battery and lens cloth. In my case the camera and lens in question is an Olympus OM-5 (they are all the same size) and Olympus 12-40mm f2.8. This fits perfectly with room for pretty much nothing else - and that's what I had in mind. I'm not sure Think Tank is still making these but they are good.

I bought a Filson waterproof bag so I could take my Olympus camera with me in the canoe. I needed to add padding to the bag to protect the gear; and give it a fitted resting place. The foam insert for a Pelican 1400 waterproof box fit perfectly and did the job.

I recently had a kayak race in mid-Missouri and wanted to take my waterproof Olympus camera, I charged the battery overnight and tried it the next day. Only to find that the battery wouldn't hold a charge! This model (850SW) has been replaced by newer models so the battery isn't one that you can go to a big box store and pick one up (although those stores did carry take model at one time). B&H to the rescue!! ... Thanks - Kirk Freels

First bought an Olympus OM-10 in 1980, took great photos. I do a lot of film work with a Hasselblad, and have resisted digital, but this retro- looking metal camera is it for me. Interchangeable lenses and many shooting options available. The quality is great, for street or grab shots. Everyone thinks it is an old school film camera! If you want sharp photos and a fun camera don't hesitate this is it.

First, please note that I’m not a single system individual. I shoot canon (1DX), Sony (A7RIV) , FUJIFILM ( 100F), Olympus and others. I typically take with me what will best cover the project I’m working on ( some projects require multiple tools /systems). Having put that boring disclaimer. I recently purchased the Olympus 300 F4 Pro. I was expecting, lighter than my Sony 200-600 as well as smaller. So that was not a surprise at all. What really blew me away was the sharpness and speed of the glass. By speed I mean the movement of the glass elements to acquire focus. Virtually, zero blooming and or color casting. I’m am aware that the glass doesn’t have to resolve the resolution of my Sony A7Riv (61Mpx) and that it’s part of the micro-forth third eco systems but, was blown away at the sharpness! I have plenty of L glass and Sony G and GM glass but, when I compare it to my $$$& full frame lenses, it’s at the very least yielding at par or better. Great work olympus! Btw sample images were captured with both OMD 1mkii and 1X. Highly recommended!!!

First let me say that I'm a retired professional photographer. This flash communicates and works well with Olympus E-30. Indoors I use this as a bounce flash for portraits. Outdoors I use the FL-50R mainly for fill in flash when taking photos of people. Also works well for both indoor & outdoor concert venues. I have yet to find a weakness in this flash. The bottom line is the FL-50R does what it's supposed to do and well. I would highly recommend this flash to any Olympus owner.

I bought my Olympus Sh3 used and I never suspected it had the wrong charger. First trip out showed battery charged on charger but I failed to check before leaving home. Big mistake! This cable allows me to charge my battery right in the camera even in my car with a USB port. B&H has not only the best products but excellent customer service! They have become my Go-To

First I would add that I'm a very biased OLYMPUS user. Over many years I have owned a myriad of their products and have NEVER had a failure or significant issue. OLYMPUS' compatibility has been a blessing as I have progressed from a neophyte to a fairly good advanced phtograher. The E-5 has a solid feel, great ergonomics, and really not as heavy as some have suggested. I must admit that I initially missed the AUTO feature but overcame that by really studying and appreciating it's many features. I've had a great time going through various setups, making some mistakes, and loving the reset feature as a result. Unless one truly takes the time to read and practice the documentation one of the lesser (easier to use) OLYMPUS' would have been the wiser choice.
