First time owner of a scope and I'm happy with this purchase. I have only used it twice since getting it but I saw the moon through it and it was an incredible thing to see through lens and with my very own eyes that it did not look real! I could not believe the detail I was seeing through this telescope. Great price and you can always add on eye pieces just like a camera for more depth. Definitely recommend this telescope.

First and foremost, I was able to capture good shots off the bat. The lens is very well built - solid. With this comes the weight. When mounted with a non-mirrorless body it’s fairly heavy-so much so I call it the tank. The lens has vibration control but I did have a number images that were blurred by movement. This is more my issue than the lens. The 2nd time using it I leveraged my tripod and was able to get some dramatic sunsets. Prior to sunset I captured an image of the moon it was so clear you could see the detail on the moon’s surface - that blew me away. As for B&H, they shipped it and it got here quick. The price was very reasonable given the power of the unit. If I had to do it again, I would buy the same one again.

I have being taking some really cool surf pictures with it. Excellent lens for the price. The moon pictures are mind blowing.

I use this for taking pictures of mountaintops from my house, and of the moon at night. A sturdy tripod and cable release are a must, as even the movement of the shutter taking the picture causes some movement.

I have shot about 1000 pictures and videos with the P1000 since I received it on September 11, 2018.  I have shot fanastic HANDHELD pictures of the moon (the moon filling the entire frame), Videos and photos at a theater inside Silver Dollar City in  Branson MO (video and still photography (no flash) is allowed in these live performance theaters and both the video and stills (all handheld) turned out great.  I was seated about 10 - 12 rows back on the aisle (thus able to shoot over the heads of other spectators) and in one case 23 rows back in a mini balcony, no tripod and the results were great BUT I will be purchasing an accessory microphone as the sound quality was a little weak.  The camera is a little larger and heaver than I expected but much of that weight and size is in the fantastic lens.

I pre-ordered this camera in July. I couldn't wait to get it. So far I have only used the camera to take pictures of the Moon. It really does an awesome job of it. No post processing needed. I can't wait to see what it can to terrestrially. Forget my other camera [ Canon EOS Rebel T6s ], this my go to camera.
