I love my Kodak PIXPRO FZ55 Digital Camera (Blue)!!!! I give it a 5 star rating!!!!! I love the color of Blue!!!! I just have to learn how to use it. The only thing that I did not like was IT DID NOT HAVE AN OWNER'S MANUAL with it!!! Why do you not include a Owner's Manual????? How are you to learn about the camera & how to use it if there is no manual????? Otherwise I love it!!!! Include an owner's manual with each camera so customers can learn how to operate their new cameras!!!!!

The Fisher was 5x the price of every other product in this category, so I was skeptical. I connected to my Westone Audio custom in-ear monitors, and OMG, what a difference. I had been driving them with the headphone amp in a small Behringer mixer. The difference was striking! More definition, more detail, like the fog had lifted. I don't know what sort of black magic this is, but the way this amp pairs with the drivers in my IEMs is nothing short of stunning.

I bought this camera to make the leap from a digital point and shoot to a digital SLR. I last used an old film SLR 10 yrs ago, so it'll be nice to see what I remember and learn even more about photography. I'm very happy the camera accepts AA lithium batteries and there is a lengthy printed operating manual too. Additionally, there are more than enough manual settings for my needs. Lastly, the price is right and was lowest on B&H! I haven't found any cons yet.

This is unique full manual and auto camera as last top small digital camera. Fantastic shots!

Great entry digital SLR camera with bright viewfinder and full manual control for students of photography. I added a Cannon 40mm 2.8 for point and shoot. But a beginner should add a 50mm prime lens IMO. Get the bulb cable for long exposures for maximum creativity. I have found manual focus useless compared to my film cameras, the autofocus just works.

I specifically wanted a digital camera with manual controls, like the one my dad had when I was growing up, and this camera exceeded my expectations. Having used it for a few weeks now, I can confidently say that I absolutely love it.

It's a manual focus lens, with a manual aperture ring that is controlled from the lens itself. It took a little getting used to... But I love it. For me, it's like using my old AE-1 but with the convenience of digital. For those who have never used a manual camera, this lens may not be for you. The fixed focal length and manual controls may be considered drawbacks for some people. I had found the transition from analog to digital to be difficult, and this lens helps me shoot the way I did when I was young and idealistic.... But I digress. This lens is known for its dreamy effect at wide apertures, and it delivers. But I was surprised at how sharp the images are when stopped down to f11 or f16! I did some test shots from my roof, and when reviewing the images on my computer I was able to see details from blocks away in sharp focus. The only thing I don't like about the lens is something I consider to be a design flaw. The markings on the aperture ring are covered up by the hot shoe on the camera, so that I have to turn it at an awkward angle to see which aperture I'm on. I've already gotten used to it, but it was annoying. Otherwise, I just adore this lens, and I'm currently using it more than any other.

An excellent digital camera for beginners at a very competitive price.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

Ignore the complainers... This lens surpassed my expectations and is great value for the price. Macro photography is inherently more difficult and this, being a 4-4.5x magnification lens, is certainly not for the faint of heart. THE GOOD - Great price for this type of specialty lens. - The build quality is surprisingly good; thelens is quite hefty for the size and the focus and aperture rings are nice and tight. - Sharpness and image qualityis excellent. Obviouslyin mostcircumstances you'll have to close it down to its minimum of f/16 to get workable depth of field (it will still be a challenge, but if you're having issues, the problem is on your side of the camera: you can't blame the lens for that) THE BAD - The 3-bladed aperture makes a rather unpleasant triangular bokeh. - The lens cap is cheap and very small... Extremely easy to lose: be forewarned! - I wish you could set the aperture smaller (eg.: f/22 or f/32). - No electronic contacts with the camera, so you don't get lens metadata. - Comes with an instruction manual with VERY POOR ENGLISH. But really the manual isn't very useful so I didn't care... It gave me a few laughs!
