Fitness Track Device

Nice watch to track fitness results. Many functions that are easy to use. The GPS works very well and nice downloads of workout to phone. Charge last a long time.

Previous fitness device finally quit working after four years. Looked long and hard for a replacement, found this at B&H photo for a very competitive price and absolutely love the product.

I liked the H4, I love the H6. This is probably closer to what audiophiles will be excited about in a portable device with professional capabilities. Main improvements upon first test: -4 track standard input -dials to set record levels -improved signal to noise ratio -accessory shoe (comes with MS/XY mic which record to 5th stereo track you can also purchase a shotgun mic or an adapter to add 2 more inputs, though not sure if it adds 2 more separate tracks) Unless you are recording with the mic on a stand I would be very cautious of how you use the mic attachments. They WILL RECORD ALL of your HANDLING NOISE unless you are a ninja. Then go for it, OUT OF THE BOX this is a 4 track recording device which you can add a 5th track with a stereo mic attachment. It comes with a case which is great and two attachments (XY and MS mic's) which is nice, but one major con is that you have to purchase an AC adapter separately. I still need to test this with 4 different mics plugged in (particularly 4 lavs) before I can say 100% I am certain you will love this, but I am pretty confident in the product after one out of the box test. I believe this will be my solution for quality field recording and essentially beginner home studio recording. I am wary of the extra two track attachment for both durability and sound quality. I tested the XY and MS mic and determined that they will be best for me to record the entire room or get an interview in a real pinch, but even so it will need some work in post because the record quality is not as good as what you will get from even a basic boom mic.

It is a great tracking device I keep track of my cat when he is outdoors. Loud ring as well I can hear it at a fair distance. Design and quality is great too. Overall I am very satisfied with my Tiles!

It takes a lot of things coming together to make the perfect device, one that will both streamline and energise your workflow. The Track E and the Sync E from Tentacle are two such devices. The built-in timecode functionality alongside the 32-bit float recording work together to give you unprecedented control over two important facets of the production process. Integrates seamlessly with the app through which you can control multiple units. Compact, reliable and an indispensable part of my kit.

My newest purchase was to replace my old tile that couldn’t have the battery changed out. Adding the new tile and removing the old one was much easier than I anticipated and it seems to work just as well as the old one. For Christmas I received a different brand tracker and had planned to use it instead of tile - but the cheaper brand only works one way. You can only track the actual tile through your mobile device where as Tile let’s you track your mobile device from the tile as well. This prompted me to order another Tile.

Davinci Resolve will natively sync time code recorded on an audio track with a couple of quick steps. First make sure the devices are set with one as master and the others as slaves. On the master set the frame rate to match your camera, this will automatically update the slaves to be on the same frame rate (if you don't match the frame rate the audio will be off a few frames when you sync). Plug a time code device into each device - cameras (through the audio jack if using an DSLR/Mirrorless camera), audio recorder (most audio recorders will accept the timecode from the ultrasync and save it to the audio recording as timecode - see instructions for your device). Dump all the files into the media page on Davinci Resolve. To update timecode on videos, select all of the video files and right click then choose update timecode from audio track. You will then see the Start TC and End TC get updated to the timecode from the audio track. To sync external audio select all the video and audio tracks and right click and select: auto sync audioBased on Timecode. This will automatically sync the audio to your video and replace the video audio track with the audio from your external recorder. If you used a splitter and recorded time code on one stereo track and scratch audio on the other then you can choose Based on Timecode and Append Tracks. Once set up correctly it works perfectly and a huge time saver. A couple cons about the device is that it doesn't come with a LTC to 3.5mm cable, and the cables are very expensive. Also, there is not a good way to mount unless you buy the silicone case and the case is thick so it makes it difficult to press the buttons. Also, the menu system is very difficult to use, and nonintuitive so I have to carry around a hard copy print out for some functions.
