Fitness Tracker Active Minutes

Although the most expensive of the fitness tracker watches, it worth it for serious trackers. Highly recommend.

Polar alignment was simple and tracker worked past 2 and half minutes when shooting.

I previously had a different brand tracker that died afted 3 months, plus I could only get 1.5 minutes of exposure with it. With the iOptron Skyguider Pro I can get up to 5 minutes of exposure time tracking targets. I also have a ZWO ASIAir and guide camera that I use with it. If I make an accurate polar alignment the ZWO after calibrating tells me the stars haven't moved enough to require guiding. I use this with a Rokinon 135mm and Radian Raptor 61. I do recommend getting a different ALT/AZ mount though as some others recommend.

I'm just beginning to get into astrophotography. I was hesitant to put down $450 (including tax) for my first tracker, but the urge to get into deep sky photography was just too great. I am not disappointed. This is a great tracker. I've had the chance to use it a couple of times and I'm very impressed with it's performance. It's fairly simple to set up and align, and it tracks very well. Admittedly the first time setting it up took me a while simply because it was all new. I did have some difficulty finding Polaris through the polar scope. It helps to align it before it gets too dark since it can be difficult to differentiate Polaris from other stars once the skies are completely dark. Once it's set up and aligned (I use the Polar Aligner Pro app for Android to find the exact spot to line up Polaris in the scope) I can easily track stars for 5 minutes without any distortion at 16mm, and 3 minutes at 200mm focal length, without a guiding. I'm very pleased with the performance and look forward to getting a lot of use out of it.
