Fitness Tracker That Works With Android

Although the most expensive of the fitness tracker watches, it worth it for serious trackers. Highly recommend. 5 |

I bought this to use as a dovetail on an astro tracker as well as on a CG-5 mount. It works nicely for both. 5 |

I was so afraid it would just be an updated Leupold Tracker (handheld I have and only other experience I have) This is much more than that. Only tested to around 80 yards, but to there can easily identify and target rabbits and raccoons even though I was hunting hogs. The zoom seems pretty worthless though. If you're unsure, watch videos of it, they're honestly what it looks like, works great. For sighting in, the tinfoil around a square of cardboard works great. The one shot sight in is amazing, Im sure all digital scopes do it. 5 |

The tracker works without any weights only with a light load, like a Sony A7x class camera, a VERY light and compact ball head, and a light (and slow) lens, like a Loxia 21mm f/2.8. The total weight must be less than 3.3 lbs, or you will end up ruining the tracker. If you use a more normal ball head and a lens like the Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/2, you will need one of these counterweights. If you use a heavier lens like a Sigma 14mm f/1.8, then one weight is not enough – you will need two. Also, for a Sigma 14/1.8, I would also recommend a support bracket to minimize vibrations, and that would add its own weight. So you will need two counterweights. And lastly, if you want to shoot the Andromeda galaxy with your 600mm f/4, you will probably need three, maybe even four of the counterweights. So buy as many as you need, depending on your use case. The counterweight itself is made well - it's as compact as it can be, without going to heavy metals like lead. It has a nice finish and easy to handle. The screw knob works well. And yes, you can use it to crack walnuts and it hurts if you drop it on your toe. 5 |

I have been using this tracker over the last 2 years since its initial launch. After two years of photographing exclusively with this unit at night and working with 100+ units in different astrophotography workshops, I think I have enough experience to give an honest review. It's a genius idea packed with a ton of features, but the learning curve on this tracker is hard. Many things are not straightforward, and it's normal to feel overwhelmed and frustrated at first. On top of that, Benro doesn't offer a comprehensive manual, which creates even more confusion and makes you feel desperate as you don't know what can be wrong. However, if you put the time and practice, what you can do with this tracker is simply magical. I have been automating tracked panoramas for 2+ hours while I was sleeping on my tent while camping, or while capturing the reflection of the Milky Way, which would be impossible otherwise. At this moment, it's my main star-tracker, and I wouldn't change it for any other. I love it so much that I created a dedicated tutorial just to explain how it works: https://academy.capturetheatlas.com/benro-polaris-masterclass-en/ Don't read the discouraging reviews. If you don't mind putting some extra time into practicing and learning how it works, it'll be completely worth it. You can see attached some images captured with the Benro Polaris over the last two years. 5 |
