We employ our Sonos Play:Five in the large open family/dining room area. The sound is incredible, and really fills the space. We augment it with a Sonos One in our adjacent foyer. We were turned on to Sonos by a close friend as were were actually trying out a Bose system. We compared the Play:5 to the comparable size Bose speaker. No contest. The Bose was VERY hard to work with, and the sound was inferior to the Sonos in every way. The Play:5 really has a lush, warm sound, yet retains great clarity, even in louder volume levels.
