This mic has been perfect for our live french horn performance micing, capturing the sound exactly how we wanted it. The fit and finish is outstanding, and the ruggedness of construction has been greatly appreciated, given the elements we work in. The soft rubberized clip has worked flawlessly to hold on to the rim of the bell without damaging the Conn 8D horn it is mounted to. Solid choice, and it is also available in a wireless system variant! 5 |

This is the perfect stand for most woodwinds and French horn. Typical Atlas quality construction for many years of service. 5 |

This is a great mic for Horns or Drums. It's a quick install, so if you have a horn player with multiple instruments, they can easily change between them. 5 |

5 stars as an entry level tripod. If it is something you are only going to use a few times per year then this is the tripod for you. 5 |

Does what it says, very well made (physically) even pretty good to look at as far as a horn goes. 5 |

These are a great softener for the cello and should come standard with each. 5 |

I bought this ORTF Microphone for a Live Piano/ Oboe concert. Amongst some of the other top condensers I own it played a crucial role in picking up the Balance from the FOH in the Audience. It did an amazing job. I basically used it as my main mic and just filled in the Mix with some of my closer condensers. The recording was of a Piano/ Oboe concert with as many as 12 oboist playing at once. It was quiet, Smooth yet Silky on the top. I thought about the Schoeps but for a 20th of the price I cant see how I could be any happier 5 |

I am using this to mic an oboe in live, small ensemble performances in loud, noisy venues, like background music at an upscale function. It is highly directional, and therefore easy to slide on or off mic as the situation requires. The attached clip, when fastened to a music stand shelf, can position the head perfectly about even with the right hand, which gives a good boost without the harshness you'd get bell-mic-ing. I won't say it's a world-class recording microphone, both because I wouldn't know one if it hit me with a brick and because that's not the use to which I put it. For use with acoustic instruments in a live setting, and considering the relatively low price, I would think it's about the best you're going to find. 5 |
