Fix Logitech K845 Mechanical Keyboard Diy

I bought the Logitech K845 to replace an old keyboard that came with my desktop. It costs much more than a non-mechanical keyboard, but what a difference. The keys are nicely spaced, with each key slightly concave to give a good feel while you're typing. The LED back lighting has only one color - white, which I prefer. All in all, this keyboard is great for everyday business use.

I chose the K845 mechanical with brown switches because I wanted an illuminated mechanical keyboard that wasn't overly loud and clicky. The switches are relatively quiet but produce a satisfying click, one that I desired over a mushy key. The illuminated keys are excellent as I prefer a lower light environment to work in. The keys are set up high off the board itself allowing anything that may fall onto the keyboard to simply slide off and not get lodged. The K845 is a wired system which I bought specifically. I don't wish to spend additional money just to have to replace batteries or worry about charging a keyboard. The wired connection works for me and I don't need anything else. For the price, I don't think there is a better mechanical keyboard.

The K845 is a minimalist, wired keyboard that provides the best typing experience I've had since I first purchased an IBM PS/2 in the 1990s. I'd forgotten what using mechanical keys meant for the typing experience. My speed is more akin to what I could reach back in high school in typing class. The keyboard is solidly built and the light effects, while limited, add a nice touch. It would be better if there was some software to control it, but that sort of goes against the minimalist design philosophy, doesn't it? All in all, I can honestly say this is the keyboard I'll be using for all my machines (at a desk) going forward. I've purchased two of them--one for home and one for work. I'd originally purchased a red-switch model, but traded it for brown. I'm sure red provides a good gaming experience, but for typing brown seems to be the way to go. With it, I find much fewer inadvertent keystrokes (none really) than the red produced. The dark gray aesthetic goes well with most settings. This will be my keyboard for the foreseeable future. And I'll never use a membrane keyboard again. Mechanical keyboards are a much better experience.

It gives you the nice, clean feeling of a mechanical keyboard, but it's silent!!
