Flat Mechanical Pencil

I had the original Apple Pencil. Having to remove the end cap and plug it into the iPad so that it stuck out was annoying and made the whole thing prone to being snapped off, which would destroy the pencil and potentially damage the iPad. This is entirely better. The wireless charging with the newer iPad Pros is fantastic and a much better solution, and it conveniently acts as a storage mechanism for the pencil as well. The lack of a cap means that there is also one less piece to potentially lose. Being able to double-tap the flat side with a finger to change tools is also very convenient. The only thing to note: the flat side has been advertised as helping prevent the pencil from rolling off a table. Honestly, that isn't really true. If you toss the pencil onto a table, it will still roll pretty far, and if you set the pencil down not onto the flat face, the center of gravity will actually cause the pencil to settle with the flat side facing up. This isn't really a con, just something to keep in mind. TLDR: This is great. It's really what the original Apple Pencil should have been. 5 |

Great lead supply for my mechanical pencil. These are very thick and so far, not a single has broken even when I extend a bit. Very happy with these lead refills. 5 |

Nice pencil. It has a nice feel to it and the flat side keeps it from rolling away. Recommend a case to keep the pencil safely stored. 5 |

I have never owned an Apple Pencil but I do not know that I would need one after using this one. 5 |

This pencil has so many features! 1. Durable! I have dropped my pencil many times by mistake, and every time it bounces off hard tile floors or concrete, and it has not broken at all. 2. Gestures on the Side. I use the double-tap to switch between pen and eraser 3. Replaceable Tips. A lifesaver. I once dropped it right on the tip, and dented the tip badly. I replaced it, and voila! it worked again. 4. Tilt gestures...the feature you didn't know you needed. The eraser, for example, gets bigger when the Pencil is tilted. 5. Wireless charging, WOW! I love wireless charging. It simply clips onto my iPad Pro, and it's always charged and ready. 6. Future-proofing. The new M2 iPad Pros support Apple Pencil Hover, which is amazing in Procreate....here's the kicker...this 4+ year old pencil supports it! 5 |

I just recently got a Apple Pencil to start using my iPad for my drawings and I wanted something that would stop my pencil from sliding around on the screen, having fingerprints in the way, and will have an overall easier feel. I found Paperlike and watched many reviews. I wasn’t sure if I should buy it but I’m glad that I did because it has helped me a lot. I have a lot more control of my pencil and my drawings come out a lot better. I would 10/10 recommend this product. 5 |

After a lot of research I chose to purchase the IPAD Pro 2021 M1 along with the Apple Pencil Generation 2 to illustrate a children's book I wrote last year in the hope of getting published. The Apple Pencil is like using a real pencil and brushes with the ability to sense pressure, angle and stroke methods. It permits actual shading, line weight and darkness like you were using real varieties of, pens, pencils, and brushes. Response time is immediate with no lag. It is a game changer in digital art and though pricy, if I lost the pencil today, I would be placing a new order the next day. B&H has been my go to for the past 15 years for any and all things Apple / Mac, photography, etc. They provide outstanding customer service, support, and the items I need are always in stock and of high quality. Don't buy a stylus for your IPAD if you are into graphic design, stop looking and make the purchase, no regrets. Well, just one issue to be completely honest, the blue tooth connection to the pencil has lose connection a couple times, but I just turned off Bluetooth in the iPad and turned it back on... back in business! 5 |
