I bought the 2x teleconverter for my Olympus 40-150 mm lens ... to double the focal length to 80-300 mm ... and the 2x teleconverter works as advertised. I have thought about buying the 300 mm lens ... but the size and the weight is a challenge for travel ... and the 40-150 mm with a 2x converter is very travel friendly. Note: you do loose 2 stops of lights with the 2x converter attached ... therefore ambient light and shutter speed may be an issue for moving subjects ... BUT on the positive ... if you own the 300 mm lens ... you can use the 2x converter and increase the focal length to 600 mm.

I use these In my studio and they work really well. I ordered another one to secure my newest 40 C stand.

I'd never tried the "28mm" focal length before, even though I've been photographing for over 40 years. 28mm is the favored focal length for street shooters and I always wondered why. I've been recently feeling that 35mm is a bit long for me, so wanted something a little wider. I also own the Fuji 14mm, but that's been a little bit too wide for me. So I bought the 18mm and it's rarely left my camera (X-Pro2) since I received the lens. Just yesterday I photographed the local march, and it was the perfect lens for that.

I had the Pany 8-18 then the Oly 7-14 and wasn't crazy impressed with either. I traded in the two for this one and am not looking back. This is a very sharp lens from f4 - 8 at all focal lengths (crazy!?!) seems to deal with distortions and aberrations really well. This makes the 8-25 better than the two older designs, but there's more! Not only does the new design handle flare much, much better (light years better than than the 7-14 and better than the 8-16), but it also allows for very close focus/useful magnification. It is small when collapsed and accepts filters. The photographic results are really outstanding, like the Oly 12-40 or 12-45 or 40-150's. What magic they baked in for such a complex focal range - I can't imagine. Now it's awesome but not perfect. It is only f4 (a reasonable compromise), and it does that collapsing thing. That collapsing thing is not a big deal in practice, but I hope it's long-term durability is good, and when extended it's pretty long! I'm reviewing this lens as a photographer, as a single carry lens. I would imagine that videographers would be beside themselves with pleasure with this focal range, but I'm only speculating. I'd strongly recommend this lens.

I shot with film for over 40 years, and part of that time I worked for a newspaper. If I could have had only one lens, the 35mm would be the focal length I would always have with me. The XF 23mm F/2.0 is that same focal length in the digital age. This lens is sharp, fast to focus, and the one I keep on my camera much of the time.

I am using the 1.4X Teleconverter on M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro. The increased focal length to 56-210mm is very noticeable for bringing in distant objects. I may not ever use the ED 40-150mm without it. At f/4 you can still do hand held photos with excellent results.

A fun focal length that doesn't conflict with either my 35 Summicron-M or 50 APO Summicron-M, this 40 comes out when the light gets low or I want that extra splash of bokeh. It is not as sharp as the 50 APO (of course!) but it definitely holds up well with the standard 35 summicron.

As advertised, it extends the focal length of my Olympus M.Zuiko Digital Ed 40-150mm F/2.8 Pro Lens an additional 40% with no degradation in image quality. Perfect match for this lens.
