Upgraded To The AIR 192|14 from the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (1st Gen)-- Love this new AIR 192|14! I like that it has more inputs and outputs as well as dual headphone outputs, I like the cleaner inputs too--less noise and flatter tone. Definitely recommend. 5 |

Used on male vocal recordings with Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 at 3 o'clock, which was dead quiet at that gain setting. I cut the low-end a couple dB and raised the top the same amount, and it was warm, detailed and big. I read the Sound On Sound review by Paul White where he used the same EQ setting and found the R144 compared very favorably side-by-side with his Coles 4038. At 1/16 the price. 5 |

Bought this to block phantom power generated from Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 so I can connect a Wireless Go II RX output while the Scarlett 2i2 is providing 48 vDC to a condenser mic connected to the other XLR input. 5 |

I'm using this with a Macbook Pro (2017). and a Scarlett 2i2 interface, a Zoom microphone, with and ipod also attached, and connected to the ethernet. This is mostly to enable piano lessons with 2 views on Zoom, and also make recordings. It has all I need for this and more . (I'm not using any additional screens). I like the card reader and headphone jack- easy to use. I can't upgrade my OS, but it works fine with High Sierra. The Caldigit gets a bit warm but doesn't overheat. I unplug it when not in use. Altogether very handy and nice to have all my wires more or less connected to one source. 5 |
