This might be the best stand that you can buy if you need portability but strong support. Most regular foldable stand are good for photography flashes or smallish lights, but anything else and they wobble like there's no tommorrow. I've used the Matthews with Kino Divas and 1K fresnels and it's very solid with a very wide base. I only own one of these so far, but i'm definetely getting a couple more for small crew jobs and for traveling. 5 |

I have a NEX 5K for a year now. Purchased an extra battery soon after getting the camera. Just returned from 3 week in Africa and prior to leaving purchased another battery. This gave me 2 while on game drives and one back in camp charging. Most of the time, the battery lasted for 8 hours of of the 2 game drives. Only twice did I have to swap batteries during a game drive. No power at night to charge the batteries. Most of my photography is stills not movies. No matter what camera you own, digital photography uses battery power. One should have no less than 2 batteries to insure you have power during your days picture taking. 5 |

Battery life exceeds my expectation, the replacement alarm is not adjustable, making timely replacement essential. Old battery is easily removed, the replacement battery goes in with a bit of difficulty due to length of wires, however, longer wires would have been a packaging problem - time to replace from initial power down of unit to power up was less than 5 minutes. No difficulty with UPS since replacement - looking forward to another couple of years dependable service. 5 |
