I've used this combo for field recording, foley, recording dialog with a boom and recording live music. By itself the DR40 is very versatile. Add the Rode and you've got a great low cost film sound solution. And yes, you will need an XLR cable. 5 |

Got this to compliment my MKH 416 shotgun mic. did extensive tests recording with Sound Device 633. Great Foley recording, sounded like I was on a Foley stage very dry. Primarily got for production dialogue and it works great for that purpose, has a bit of color but I quite like what it gives, a touch of bass and masculinity, as some have said a bit of an action movie dialogue sound with male voices however when I recorded female adult and child it still gave great tone. Love it! 5 |

I work as camera operator at a few local TV studios here in NYC. If you're looking for a fairly-priced 5-pin XLR headset to call your own (to avoid sharing and sanitizing during cold/flu germ season), then look no further. Eartec checks all the boxes, from price to build quality and comfort. 5 |

I love this headphone. Very useful in live shows and recording studios with a great sound. 5 |

If your budget allows, please do not settle for anything less than the Neumann 102. Over my 12 years of recording in a studios across the world, Neumann mics have provided the best sound overall across a diverse range of vocals. From singers, choirs, rappers, or broadcast, this is a must have! Do not settle if the budget allows. 5 |

I'm used to working on Keningston Trackballs in various recording studios, and I really wanted one in my office as well, so I jumped on B&H's recent flash sale on these. It's a really nice upgrade over the logitech marble trackball I was using previously. The ergonomics are night and day, thanks to the wrist rest and the larger size. It's also nice to have the scroll ring, which was absent on the logitech. 5 |

You can pay more for a fancy power conditioner or get this. These have been used in recording studios, live concert rigs, and professional sound systems for decades... proven reliability. 5 |

I use this in multiple recording studios and it's absolutely fantastic. Zero noise/interference. Excellent layout of outlets. And with coax and ethernet connections as well, it's simply a jack-of-all-trades. A+ 5 |

I purchased over a dozen of these over the last several years. 3 pairs for myself and the rest for several small recording studios I helped put together. Make sure to replace the pleather pads with Beyerdynamic valour alternatives. 5 |

15+ years of seeing this on stages, multiday festivals, and recording studios. There's a reason it's in every professional's toolkit. 5 |
