For Kids Ate Kindle Screen Different From Tablet

I have an older Kindle I use for reading only, and a Kindle Fire I use as a tablet. I can carry both in this case with ease. 5 |

I bought two of these. Lots of compartments. Holds a Tablet, a kindle. Room for a phone, keys, some pens and a book. 5 |

This is almost exactly the E-ink tablet I always wanted. very pocketable, great screen, feels solid (no creaking). Why get a Kindle or Kobo to read books on when you can have all the E-Reader apps in one device? read something interesting and want to email or post to FB to a friend? Yep! This is an Android tablet so all that can be done too. I used to think reading on a regular tablet or phone didn't bother my sleep, but I now actually think it keeps you awake even if you are tired. I like to read before going to sleep and this e-reader/tablet will allow me to fall asleep as way in the past a regular book did. Of course all the Kindles I had would do the same, but if I wanted to email something from the book I was reading I would have to switch to a regular tablet or phone and that would wake me up again. Just think of of this device as e-reader of your choice (Nook, Kindle, Kobo) that can double as tablet in a pinch. 5 |

Bought this for adding memory to the new Kindle Fire 7 tablet. It works VERY well, and now I have 128gb storage (seems fast also) on my new device. I had an 8gb old Micro USB card in there, and plugged this into my PC and transferred what was on the other card onto this one, plugged it in, and everything works perfectly, but with a LOT more storage! 5 |

This replaces my old iPad mini. I like it for the larger screen and clarity of the screen. I use it mostly for reading kindle books. 5 |

I have used a kindle for reading since they were released and have always been a fan of this device until now. No question the kindle is top drawer for reading with it's e ink display. My problem is once you accumulate a large library it is frustrating to wade thru your library to find the next book to read. The collections utility helps but not enough to make it efficient. I started using my iPad kindle app to stage the book I wanted to read on top so when I used my kindle oasis it was there. When the new iPad mini came out I researched using it for reading and while many reviewers had the same idea the kindle fanboys insisted there was no real comparison. I decided to try it for myself and am very pleased with the result. By turning down the brightness and utilizing the screen options it is a pleasure to read on. I have not been effected by the blue light nor experinced eye strain. NOTE I don't read outside in bright sunlight so the screen reflection as noted by the fanboys does not impact me. Another plus is when I travel instead of carrying my iPad pro and a kindle the iPad mini serves both needs. Another problem noted was battery life. My kindle oasis was about 14 months old yet battery only lasted me around 11 hours without wifi activated. So far the mini is about the same if I only use it for reading and email. Naturally if I watch movies or surf the net for long periods it is less. The advantage of having one device I can read books, magazines, illustrated novels or listen to audible books is great. The speakers on the mini are good and the retina screen is the best I have seen. Sure it costs more but is worth it at least for me. 5 |

The screen size and quality is great and a similar size as my old Gen-1 Kindle Paperwhite. The Google Store works great on the device. Tons of settings to tinker with. The only negative is the battery drains pretty fast with Wi-fi turned on. I’d definitely recommend if you want a smaller device. 5 |
