Format Usb Flash As Hard Drive

Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

My Passport Portable Hard Drive has been been really easy to use and reliable. Since it doesn't require power, it's really practical and doesn't slow down the computer, like many bulkier hard drives. I already had a 1TB My Passport and was really impressed, so I bought a 2TB. Mac users have to format the drive, though, but it's really easy. The hard drive came with set up files on it, I wasn't sure what to do with them. Since I had to format it they end up deleted. I haven't needed them.

I used this to transfer data from my old laptop Hard drive to my new one for my Macbook Pro early 2011. The adapter made data transfer so easy and took the guessing game out and worry out. I had no data loss and you could not even tell once the transfer was complete that you even switched hard drives. It's just like there was a hard drive in there all this time. The only issue I had was since my laptop runs on usb 2.0 the transfer was slower but if I had a usb 3.0 connection I'm sure the speed would have been quicker.
