Formatting Usb Flash Drive Allocation Unit Size

A small-size convertible flash drive with both USB-A and USB-C connectors.

Aesthetically, this drive looks identical to my Mac Mini. The unit looks super sleek when stacked under my drive. I had the 8TB custom built for back-up purposes primarily and it seems extremely responsive with TimeMachine scheduled back-ups. The drive isn't what I would call silent, you definitely hear this drive if you're at the workstation while it's writing but it's not distracting at all. Set-up and formatting was incredibly easy. The auto formatting software comes on the drive. Plug it in, go through the set-up prompts (pick either IOS or PC) and you're good to go. Good device. Hope it lasts since I've never paid this much for an ED ever.

After I purchased this 16GB USB drive, I have been formatting it with Windows XP's Format, and HP's Flash Storage Tools, so far, no issues. I like the retractable USB plug design, but, on the other hand, worried about the durability of this kind of design. I have had my older Kingston DataTraveler 8GB USB drive with similar retractable design for more than a year, though, a bit loosen, still works.

This is my third Transcend USB 3 Portable Drive. Love how small, quiet and portable they are. I recommend formatting them to exFat before putting data onto them, so that you can go from Mac to PC easily. Never had any problems, tho I always backup to a second drive for peace of mind.

This unit was on sale and I couldn't resist a reliable brand name, large capacity, USB 3.0 capable flash drive at the price. The flash drive is small outside, but huge inside (TARDIS-like?). It's backward compatible with USB 2, which is great as that's all my desktop PC has. It comes FAT32 formatted, which is useful for mounting on a wider variety of computers than NTFS would be. I bought it to put videos on so that my wife could view them on her notebook PC rather than crowd around my desktop screen to see them. Although I've only had it a short time, I've already moved 15 GB of videos onto it and my wife is delighted. The smooth, locking-slide mechanism for the USB plug is a big plus. I believe that this product deserves a full 5 stars.

I wanted to get a faster Flash drive than the USB 2.0 units I have, so I bought the Kingston unit because I have always had good solid reliability with my other Kingston products. This unit lives up to the quality and reasonable price I am used to having with Kingston products.

Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

A teeny, tiny 2 TB USB flash drive. Because of its two different size USB connectors, its an excellent, Bridge, for transferring files to and from older motherboards and my newer, more modern laptop which does not have a USB, A, port.

I was looking for a flash drive with a small physical size to plug into the USB port on my car stereo. I didn't want a standard size flash drive that would stick out from my stereo, and inevitably get broken off while I was reaching for the glove box. This was exactly what I was looking for. It's so small it just looks like it's part of the stereo, and 16GB is more than enough to hold my entire music collection.

This is a good size flash drive for transporting files to other sites. The USB 3.0 speed makes it a quick transfer.
