This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc.

The Korg Volca Drum is a super fun & creative percussion synthesizer. This Volca definitely is unique. It offers six parts each with layers of two individual sounds per part that can be edited separately or together. Programming is very immediate and the controls invite tweaking without having read the manual. However there are a few settings that aren't immediately intuitive which are accessed with the edit/step button and then scrolled through by the select/parameter knob. These potentially overlooked settings really do add to the sound giving bit reduction, wave folding, overdrive, panning, and gain adjustment. The three distortions here add a bit of grit to the sound and in my experience don't degrade the sound too much either, being mostly consistently useable at maximum settings. The motion record opens up the sound design potential quite a bit even if it is a shame that motion recording isn't available for the resonator parameters. I especially enjoy motion recording the rate of the LFO modifier. So many types of synthetic percussion can be made with this synth and, with choke groups, you can treat multiple sounds as a single instrument set. Programming on the Volca Drum is a joy. I plan on holding onto mine probably forever.

This drum cover works great. I was able to cover my drums, cymbals and all the percussion stuff I have clustered around the drum set. The lightly weighted corners let it just fall into place.

Fabric stretched tight as a drum. Soft light absorbing material - rigid frame. Welding isn't pretty but functions perfectly. Well made. So useful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my smasung tv as a literal frame in the middle of my living room, and camouflage it with other frames for it to look as real as possible. When at night, people dond actually notice its a tv, buth when we turn it on and use it as a tv with the incredible surround system, everyone’s impressed.

Great addition for pano use; placed below the ball head which permits not having to place the horizon in the middle of the frame for panos, it greatly facilitates the leveling process.

My only issue was that, because the material is stretched over the full length of the aluminum frame attached by button snaps every 8 inches, the frame tends to buckle in the middle along the top and bottom. I used two lengths of 1.5 by 1.5 wood material I had laying around, and placed them between the frame top and bottom one third of the way in the middle on each side. This removed the slight bow, and allowed the material to be fully stretched, which helped take the wrinkles out. I leave my screen attached to the frame and store it along the wall in the hallway during the week, and set it up in my large living room for movies on the weekend. If I were to store it, I would not refold it up but rather would roll it up with a long cardboard tube, this would help eliminate the wrinkling while stored.

Mainly I do outdoor, nature photography and the camera performs execellently. It is my first full frame camera, and I was using a sony camera before. I realize there will be a jump in quality from APS-C to Full Frame, and there was, especially in low light photography. There is less noise in the images I am getting at higher ISO. The quality is amazing, colors accurately rendered, build quality is great. I am still getting used to the Nikon, and all the buttons and features, just dealing with the learning curve from one camera manufacture to another. Two other very minor issues I have are the battery life seems to be on the shorter side, and a tiltable LCD screen would be useful for photography in akward spots. Apart from the small quirks I am getting used to, the only problem I have come across so far is the auto focus. Generally, the auto focus is annoying. Unless the subject is directly in the middle of the frame, the AF has trouble focusing on the subject. Many times with landscane and nature photography you are focusing on a third or not in the middle of the frame. This causes you to need to focus and recompose the shot before you fully press the shutter down. While hand holding the camera, this isn't much of an annoyance. However, when the camera is mounted on a tripod and you are taking low light shots, it is very annoying to compose the image then not be able to focus properly and have to move the camera to focus then back to the correct composition before taking the shot. Yes the camera has 39 AF points, but they are all centered in the middle of the frame. Just to reiterate, the autofocus is great when the subject is in the middle of the frame, but outside of that it becomes very annoying. Overall, the camera is great, aside from the AF issue, it works flawlessly and I haven't had any problems with the outdoors and cold temperatures. I love the quality of image it produces.
