Frame For 180 Projector Screen
Lester | 2024-09-14 01:26:22 |
Purchased the 135 yard master 2 projector screen for the purpose of outdoor viewing. The frame is lightweight and set up was really easy. Something of importance to me because this screen will be taken down and assembled alot. The screen looks great. Colors are vibrant and the quality of the item is fantastic. The screen and frame aren't flimsy like some of the cheap brands out there. My only regret is that I wish I would've purchased a bigger one. there. Highly recommend this screen. 5 |

I got the lens because I could finally afford a fisheye lens and having the zoom between full fisheye circle and full frame 180 is excellent. 5 |

This is not my first circular fisheye. I have a Rokkor 7.5mm and a Sigma 8mm, both full frame, and both substantially more expensive than this one. Both also cover 180-degrees in a circular image on full frame, not so much on crop sensor. I'll keep the Sigma (Nikon mount) for use on my D700 and for film, but the Rokkor and I are going to part ways while it still has value. This lens is at least as sharp as either of the others, plus it covers 210 degrees, not 180. You are literally looking behind yourself, and the result can be somewhat unsettling (and it can be hard to keep your fingers and feet out of the image.) Yes, there is blue fringing at the extreme edges, which is equally true for my other two fisheyes, but the images are very, very good. It's manual focus, which is almost irrelevant for a 4mm lens given the depth of field. You can focus if your camera does striping or has a focus indicator, but I found it easier to just set it a f/8 somewhere short of infinity and use the natural depth of field. It's also tiny (really tiny) even though it's an impressive f/2.8 wide open, so if you need the speed, it's there. Outdoors I use the exposure compensation with this lens more than most other, since it's easy to (or hard not to) get the sun in the frame. And speaking of infinity, the focus scale is a bit vague about just where infinity focus actually is. I suspect that's because they use the same lens for every camera regardless of flange depth, and they aren't too careful about the mount. No matter. This is a lens you will play around with anyway and if you just want to snap, there's always f/8 at something like infinity. For $200 you can't lose, so if you are sitting on the fence on this lens, jump off and buy it. 5 |

Like the superslim frame fits perfect on my tamron 70-180. Great optical quality. 5 |

This new 180* camera has almost exceeded my expectations. I installed it straight and level and no alighnment of the 2 sides was necessary. The lorex stiching tech is undetectable. The picture is seamless. I've had a Fusion system for over 2 years with several different cameras. This camera has a much more sensitive mic that picks up really well. A nice improvement. It may even have a little wind noise suppression. The low light sensitivity seems improved as well. Viewing on a computer through the Lorex Cloud App you can see the real dimensions of the camera (4096 x1856) in a letter box format with less curvature and less verticle distortion so everything isn't so skinney. On your NVR the letter box will change to full frame and the image is vertivally stretched to fill the frame. It looks fine but I would prefer a letter box option. All of the sexy colored light stuff is pretty cool. It will do more than most folks will take time to learn and program. All the motion detection features work well but you'll always get false notifications. Just turn that stuff off. Very little to dislike here so I give it 5 stars. 5 |

The other day, I went out on a photo shoot to exercise my new Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM lens. This lens produces circular 180º fisheye images with full-frame cameras at 8mm, and diagonal 180º fisheye images at 15mm. With APS-C and other crop-frame cameras, the lens produces 180º fisheye images only. Using it on my Canon EOS 5D Mark III–a full-frame camera–I am able to get both fully circular as well as diagonal 180º fisheye images. I have been able to capture landscapes in an entirely new way, adding a great new dimension to my work. The sharpness is excellent for this kind of lens and, although the cap tends to come off a lot, the results are amazing! 5 |

I have the 5D MK-II. For a full frame camera, this lens is great. At 8mm it will provide a full circular image, 180 degrees all around, so part of the frame will just be black. At 15mm it provides 180 on a diagonal, thus filling the complete frame. When filling the full frame, the distortion is lees than I expected. Nice lens for special effects or indoors. 5 |
