Free Classroom Countdown Timer

Now I can take remote Pictures, I was tired of waiting for countdown timer pics...

I use this to hold my tablet that has a countdown timer app. Sturdy metal frame and very simple to use!

I've only used this once so far and it did well for my uses. I have a laptop just out of camera range, as a confidence monitor, then feed those images to the control board. This allows me to see the slides on stage, while the director can show them, or not, any time they are needed during the show. This allows me to be in control of when to show the next slide. What I don't particularly like about this is how large it is. I understand that when you are teaching live, it allows you to see the countdown timer easily. On TV, I'd rather have something which can essentially be hidden in my hand and not be as obvious on screen. Overall, well built. The on-off and controls to change the countdown timer ls are a bit small and fiddly. I understand you don't want to hit them while presenting, but they are tiny. All of these are minor issues, and more for the manufacturer, as they design the next version. Overall, it is a solid performer and excels at the things you need...clicking to the next slide and seeing how much time you have left in your presentation.

Very sturdy. I use it on my tripod to hold an iPad as a countdown timer for TV show interview segments. You do have to really push when tightening to keep the iPad in really secure, but then for me, we're not moving so it's not a big deal. Flexible and sturdy, this a a great mount.

I use the product daily in my high school classroom. It works great. I like the timer feature on this model. It's good for timing discussion times between students, etc. For some reason, the students think the green laser is especially cool.

Handy to have the remote when I don't want to use the countdown time.

I no longer need to set the timer on my shutter release. Hands free shutter release. A great addition to my D90.

I use this with my 50D for astrophotography. The interval and timer functions allow for hands free operation of the camera for multiple long exposure shots of star fields using my motorized equatorial mount. It reduced the likelihood of introduced vibration and means I can keep my hands in my pockets while standing on top of a very cold mountain. That standard remote function is also incredibly useful for taking macro shots and limiting camera vibrations on a tripod.
