Free Disk Cloning Software Ssd

You need this, a new drive and disk cloning software (usually free) if you are upgrading your computer HDD and or SDD.

I have cloned drives from Crucial and Samsung. Samsung comes with the best cloning software. I put the new Samsung 850 PRO into a slot on my Desktop, initiated the clone from a suspected under performing Crucial SSD. The Cloning failed due to a bad sector on the Crucial SSD. The Samsung cloning software walked me thorough the correcting steps. All I had to do was click 'YES' as it took me 'by the hand' through the fix. The cloning software re-booted and again the cloning was initiated. Around 1 hour afterwards, the cloning complete, I disconnected the Cruicial. The Samsung 850 PRO has been working flawlessly for the week. I'm sold!!!!!!

The reason I chose this SSD was first the price and second the support software. The cloning (Acronis OEM) works well and the Micron Storage assistant monitors performance and settings (Momentum Cache).

b&h does a great job delivering it on time and in a well protected packaging. 2tb 970 evo plus nvme m.2 is great product as well. brought additional speed in my laptop. I installed it as an internal ssd drive replacing the original 512 gb ssd in my laptop. i used the usb xcellon enclosure as an auxillary for the cloning. cloning is the part that gave a little hussle, how i wish samsung updated their data migration software allowing cloning thru usb. i researched on internet even the intel data migration software won't allow usb cloning, somehow microsoft way of protecting abuse use or dupplicating coppies of the o.s bought a software for cloning but it wont work as well with direct cloning with usb. after several trials with diffrent ways, i made a boothtable usb drive, removed the installed original ssd and place it in usb enclosure and installed 2tb 970 evo plus nvme m2 in my laptop. then do the cloning. it works ! afte 18 hours of trying to figure out ways to clone :-) overall i give 5 star i love it !

Bought this to UG my desktop boot HD. I used the free cloning software and installed it, first time booted right away (lighting fast) easiest upgrade I have ever done!

Product is good and works as intended. The issue I had is my fault for not researching better. I purchased a Crucial SSD to replace laptop spinning hard drive. The free Acronis cloning software from Crucial requires a Crucial drive to be seen in the system. The software saw Sabrent attached drive and not the Crucial drive in it I wanted to clone to. After using a different free cloning software I was successful. This is no fault of the product and I am quite happy with the external drive. The on/off switch is handy and the drive comes with a 30ish inch (aprox 76cm) Type A connector USB cable. The case is plastic and the cover slides off. No tools are required. The case has an internal rubber sponge pad to keep the drive pushed forward into the contacts. I wasn't comfortable with the force required and the angle of insertion. If you use something to push back and hold the pad during installation, the drive drops right in and slides easily into the connector. Considering the cost of the product I think this is non-issue, just something to be aware of. The pad holds the drive firmly in place.

I cloned my 500mg SSD boot drive to this 1tb m.2 drive with Samsung cloning software. All went smoothly and now everything loads much faster. A very worthwhile upgrade.

The cloning and software for these drives is the best! I've never had any issues yet.

This is a very fast drive. It is much faster than a regular disk drive. You will notice a performance gain in your heavy duty software. I am running CAD on my laptop and notice much less crash. The transfer software come with the SSD is very easy to use. However, you will need a USB drive case to temporary install the SSD, and to transfer the existing data from the old drive to the new drive. That is all.
