The free wave wireless remote is all I asked for. I use it to reduce vibrations with long lenses. The range is good. There us a shutter release on the receiver, in addition to the wireless transmitter which is great for checking the system. If you have more than one camera, remember to purchase the extra cords(different camera connections ) Above all else, a great price in comparison.

Keeps my hands and pockets free until remote is needed. I am ordering another for the wireless base that goes on the camera. Great product. Many uses.

Great for blocking UV, and keeping my camera free of dirt and debri. I hunt in remote locations at times so keeping debri from my camera lens is a must on 4 wheeler sometimes the backpack or camera case isn't enough.

I use this remote to take shake-free macro shots every 5 seconds of an experiment I'm running at work. Right out of the box, it worked exactly as advertised. The sensor on the camera (EOS Rebel T3i) is able to pick up the remote signal even at high angles, probably close to 90 degrees, and the button has some nice tactile feedback. The included storage pouch which attaches to the camera strap is a nice bonus I didn't know about from the product description. I haven't encountered any cons in about 3 weeks of consistent use.

*The receiver does not have to be on the hotshoe to work. I have my Profoto Air remote on the hotshoe and let the Free Wave receiver hang off the camera and strapped to my tripod. This is just what I needed. I use it primarily for real estate photography and it operates from three rooms away, no problem. The batteries last forever too.

This remote is great it turns your camera into a hands free device that allows for macro and still life shots without camera shake. Amazing allows professional looking shots.

Enable remote or human contact free operation of the camera recording. My camera (D5300) is able to configure the remote release to start/stop video recording or to take a picture. Yes, this is plastic construction but is is durable for normal use. On/Off of the receiver requires a several second press so the until cannot be accidentally turned on or off.
