If you have USB 2 drives on your older computer then stay with PNY 64 GB Flash Drives. They work and are FAT 32 formated. No Problems with these Flash Drives. I tried 128 GB Flash Drives that were suppose to work on USB 2 thru USB 3. My first file copied to them and the memory crashed and burned. I ordered the PNY 64 GB USB 2 and they are excellent. Smaller GB but always work.

I needed to clone my failing 3 1/2 inch SATA hard drive. This dock was easy to set up and use for this purpose. Since I will probably have to copy or clone 2 1/2 drives in the future, I wanted the ability to use it with 2 1/2 inch drives too. There is plenty of free cloning software out there. I used the free version of the Macrium software which worked quickly and perfectly.

The good thing about this drive is it has password protection and a nice variety of colors.

Every WD USB drive I've owned over the last 10 years or so have been awesome. Reliable, consistently reliable, fast and well designed. They have always been a reliable way to backup for me, and have collected about 8 drives and will continue using WD USB drives. They have been great for portable storage as well as just backup. This 8TB is a great size for my purposes, to backup video and raw photos from all my other WD USB drives and computer. My only issue with WD is that their backup software is simply not reliable. It hasn't worked for me any time I've tried ver the years as well as the latest version with this drive. It hangs, doesn't backup, sometimes won't allow me to close a window or cancel an action, not sure if a backup is running or not, progress bar often just stops moving and stays there for days without any progress (obviously something is wrong after a few days!). Just not reliable or consistent, so I use 3rd party software to manage my backups and that works fine. However, it would be nice if their software would work reliably so both hardware and software would work well together. Would highly recommend this drive as well as all WD USB drives!

I bought this for my kid to carry her flash drives. It is good for her to carry around with her with max protection and convenience.

I backup 1 phone and 3 PCs to my Western Digital MyCloud 8TB system. There is a USB on the back to add up another drive or a USB Hub for up to 3 more drives. Well, I was out of space so I added this new 8TB and it just looks like another folder on MyCloud. I got a USB hub and added this plus another 2TB that I had laying around for a total of 18 TB of backup over Ethernet. I'm using Acronis True Image. There is a free version especially for WD drives (free) but it won't write to Seagate or other brands unless you buy the full version.

It appears I have one defective drive out of 20, but I will call customer service. Always satisfied with B&H.
