No issues. I use it to connect an external backup hard drive to my netbook. 5 |

I purchased two of these external drives as backup storage for my files and PC operating systems. I do not use the packaged software on the drives for backups. Rather, I just use the drives as an external media; I manually load the files I wish to backup, as then they are organized by my filing system, instead of the packaged software. But these are excellent external drives for the money! 5 |

I have used a LaCie Rugged USB External Hard Drive as a backup device for over 10 years. This is a very reliable product. When I purchased a new computer with a Type C drive I did not hesitate to upgrade to a LaCie Type C drive knowing it would be just as reliable. 5 |

I ordered this drive to backup my projects and free space on my external mobile SSD drives that I use for my video projects shooting in 6K or 8K raw most of the time. It works well and playback doesn't stutter when I need to skim through files. It's also quieter than I expected from previous similar drives. I uploaded a speed test grab for reference. 5 |

I installed it as a secondary/backup hard drive on a Dell XPS 8700 that I recently purchased. After installation I used the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnosis software to test the hard drive, then I cloned the OS hard drive to the WD using the free WD Acronis software available on WD's site. 5 |

I bought this hard drive to use with Time Machine on my Mac. I literally just plugged it in, then the computer asked me if I wanted to use it as my Time Machine backup and I clicked yes. Presto. Done. Didn't install any software, it's just plug and play. (I had to buy a new external drive because I got a new computer and the old backup drive would be completely overwritten if I used it for Time Machine. This one is about 1/20 the size of the old. Since I work upstairs in my bedroom at night sometimes, it's nice to have an external drive that is completely portable. This way I tend to plug it in for a backup more often instead of waiting until I am downstairs again.) I actually bought an extra one for a different computer. 5 |
