I love the feel of the keys. Just like what I remember from my piano (still on the mainland, built in 1900, we have no room for it here). I've only just started exploring its use with my Linux-based software, so I can only state that having the full 88 keys back is WONDERFUL after decades of only 61 keys. A big part of the joy of piano is it covers the entire scale. Aftertouch works. I haven't done anything with the three joystick controls. When I first set it up, I didn't have a USB-A to USB-B cable, so I tried using my MIDI interface, but wasn't able to make that work. I have a history of being flummoxed by old-style MIDI cables, so I may simply have connected it up wrong. Then I found an appropriate USB cable, plugged it in, and things just worked. I like the keyboard. I like the fact that it's not loaded up with arranger software, instruments in ROM, or tied to proprietary Windows/MacOS-only applications. I look forward to playing it a lot! 5 |

I am a 65 y.o. male returning to keyboards who stopped playing the organ at age 12. It's never too late, right? This piano is very suitable for my needs. Easy to learn the functions. I especially like the Record feature. This keyboard is simply a pleasure to use. In fact, my father-in-law, a very talented musician, enjoys this Prestige Artist as well. His final words after putting this piano through its paces, was, This is not a toy. It's the real thing. And you're gonna have a LOT of fun with this machine! And he was right! I use this keyboard with a popular online learning application. NOTE: If you're planning to use the midi output by plugging it into an iPad gen 2's USB input, do NOT plug in the midi cord until after the piano has powered up. If you don't, your Alesis may not power up. The stand for this keyboard is perfect. Not only is it very stable and looks great, but it's super easy to take apart and move if you need to relocate your piano in your house. Just 6 easy screws gets the job done. Less than a minute with a power screwdriver, to lift the keyboard off the stand. Easy peasy. 5 |

I am throughly please with this keyboard midi controller. The action is so much like a regular piano. The build is a good quality, and while it doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (which can sometimes get in the way), it performs flawlessly. This keyboard is worth twice the price. If you’re thinking of buying it, do it. 5 |

My husband played a real piano & keyboards he was younger but hasn't played for years. He wanted to start again and debated between the KeyLab 88 MKII and a more traditional stand alone piano-type keyboard. He's so happy we went this route. He uses it with Logic Pro and feels the KeyLab offers the perfect amount of features without adding unnecessary things. He hasn't yet figured it all out, but it's great to sit down and play freely or to record using the software and create a song. The build is excellent, with a metal body and wood accents. The action of the key bed is excellent and is much closer to a real piano than non-weighted keys. The additional weight of the keys makes playing at different volume levels very easy. One complain that he had was the lack of documentation on how to set it up and integrate it with different DAWs, but Arturia's tech support is top notch and quickly replied with a long and detailed emailing showing step by step directions on how to set it up with Logic Pro. Plus, their website has a great FAQ section and detailed user manuals that cover how to use most of the keyboard's features. In addition to a great keyboard, the unit comes with some wonderful software. It includes Ableton Live Lite for those who don't already have a DAW. It also comes with Piano V/V2, which is a piano software add-on worth $249 by itself and Analog Lab, which is a collection of older (from the 80s I think), classic synthesizer sounds worth $199. So, the keyboard itself is a great item for the price, but when all the additional software is included, the KeyLab 88 MkII is a wonderful item. 5 |

I ordered this MIDI Connect Cable to connect my keyboard to my laptop computer in anticipation of getting a MIDI capable sequencer. The cable is made better then I thought it would be and it is as long as advertised, which is great. The Interface has LEDs to indicate it's on and when it receives a MIDI event, which is helpful when hooking stuff up. IOt was a good buy from an already trusted place - B&H ! 5 |

This was free as part of promotion, but worth buying as it makes a home piano out of a portable keyboard. Sure beats coffee table or folding stands. On the road, though, would be a bit bulky. 5 |

I use this to connect my controller piano keyboard to my computer for Garageband and Logic. It's long enough to reach across the room. The cable is strong and the housing is thick enough to protect it well. 5 |
