I bought it primarily for its raw performance, so using the G-Technology RAID Configurator  set it up in RAID 0. I use it as the location for my Capture One Pro 12 referenced RAW files (85mb /file RAW & 250mb/file tiff, on average) and it substantially increased file download and processing speeds. Using Blackmagic I consistently measured speeds above 500gbs. Do note that RAID 1 (mirroring) will yield speeds of only 90+gbs. I did expect lower through-put in RAID 0 but 1/5th the speed? Otherwise very solid build, easy access to the 2 drives and clearly provides full Thunderbolt 3 speeds on my Mac. I schedule nightly full back-ups to a 3rd drive.

To top it all up has got a high quality still photographs making it a high end hybrid camera. B&H customer service responded to all my concerns and the shipped this camera to me faster than I expected. Thank you B&H Photo

Pictures that come out of this thing are simply gorgeous. Yes, file sizes are huge but you can shoot compressed raw which still gives you better quality than many other cameras. Do not hesitate to buy this camera.

Works very well scanning 35mm color negatives to DNG format for processing in Adobe camera raw using Vuescan software. I'm finding 3600dpi to be the true resolution. The full 7200 ups the file size from 90 or so MB dng file to over 300mb(!) with no "real" resolution increase. Resulting dng files at 360odpi approximate an uncompressed 16-17MP raw file from a digital camera, all tbe resolution one should need to pull out a jpeg that could easily be printed up to 30x40, if not more. Once you get the setup dialed in it's fairly straight-forward to get through 4-5 inage scans every 15 minutes or so, which I am very pleased with but it's not like I am trying to scan hundreds of rolls of film....just what I am shooting now, which will probably average 1-2 rolls per week. It's more of a pain getting the film to the lab these days for processing than the subsequent scanning.

I’ve upgraded from a 5820k to the 8700k. I do see a noticeable improvement with gaming and raw file post processing with LR. It’s simply a more efficient cpu. If you have an open chassis and use a easy liquid cooling HS, things get better. I haven’t overclocked it yet, I don’t see the need with turbo reaching 4.7ghz. Hackintosh is definitely possible with this platform. No regrets upgrading.

Light weight, which is good for me. Use it on an E-P2. RAW file colors and contrast are very good; as good or better than my APS-C SLR, although less DR. My favrite m4/3 lens.

If you want to capture high speed anything, this is the one! I am amazed at the 10fps speed and capacity to store large volumes of photos both in RAW and JPEG while shooting! Two card slots allows simultaneous separate file storage so you can file the RAW pictures for later and work on them in Photoshop and have immediate JPEG's available for customers on another card (any size) for printing or immediate viewing on a separate viewer. The sensor is remarkable. Shooting with ISO's over 1000 no longer concerns me when trying to get the f/stop down on fast moving objects or low-light. THERE IS NO NOISE in these photos even when ISO's are over 2500! With 19 cross-type autofocus points, you will want an L lens coupled to this to appreciate how fast the focus can be. Although I shoot mostly outdoors, I can't wait to take some photos at high speed sporting events. This is a serious camera for serious shooters, so expect to get what you pay for. Its a little heavy too, but hey - when your battery lasts for 2500 shots, its worth it.
