I used the plate on top of my glidecam which actually needed a few washers to make clearance on the bottom. It's great cause it's easy to screw on and the lock in mechanism works flawless. 5 |

The only thing that I would like to see different is the location of the sensor on the camera, it seems to me it would be better if it were on the top of the camera where the remote could be used from the front or the rear of the camera. It's a small inconvenience, other than that it works great. 5 |

I did not exactly use this for its intended purpose. I unscrewed the clip and used this with some washers and screws to mount a small, portable 13 LCD monitor to an Elgato stand/arm. This plate is perfect for mounting small monitors to tripods or stands that use the standard screw sizes they all use. You can also bungie a battery pack or something to this and then mount it to a tripod, which I also did. 5 |

These do adapt from male 5/8"-27 to male 1/4"-20 and come with small rubber washers that seem durable enough. It's a little pricey, but it's really good quality. 5 |
