Front Row Camera Waterproof

Great overall experience makes me feel like I'm in the front row of a music hall

All of the sleeve pockets are top-loaded which ensures a snug, secure fit and no shifting of the photos. Keep in mind that the bottom sleeve is made for a 4x6 photo only and will not accommodate panoramics. As usual, top-row photos can be slipped in from the front and back of the page. The bottom row photos are insertable from only the front of the page (which is the only good design choice). Photos do not have to be squeezed in so this is not problematic.

I like having the 7th row so that i can include the extra leader on the front and rear of the roll. It is much better than just having 6 rows, especially most rolls can manage 37 to 39 frames a roll.

Got these between other 5 options that Ken Rockwell sugests on his website. They were the least expensive at $80 and on store they felt better than the others at 100 to 140 that we tested. I particularly like the distance between the lenses front, that gives a better perception of field depth (targets are in 3D, stereoscope effect I believe). It magnifies at 8x so it is easy to stabilize and increases thing enough to check details. Used to see objects at around 500 to 2000 meters in a moving train, accurate and fast focus, and to view targets at 2 to 5km in my house backyard with great clarity and definition. At night it is very clear, as the attendant suggested based on bigger front lenses, and we can easily see moon craters and groups of stars on our house. It seems perfect for field work and leisure as I am a Meteorologist and work with forests in Brasil, it is not waterproof but the rubber protection seems fine for light rain with a plastic bag over it... the waterproof version was almost double the price and I think it was not worth it as my concerns are more on the falling and cracking risks.

Very stable for 2 -row panos

I have now shot thousands of frames with this camera and I love it. I shot 29 sharpe focus frames in a row as a green heron flew from a telephone wire 100' away to the water. The camer performs flawlessly.

The advantage of this rail is you can change the orientation of the clamp 90% and you can move the camera up and down the rail - which can be important, especially for wide-angle lenses that can't have a bit of rail poking into the scene. It will be heavier than a standard nodal rail but it makes up for it in flexibility. For example, I can use mine for simple single row panos, but also as part of a more complex set-up for multi-row panos.
