I use it for mounting my bass head and my Furman power supply. I like the weather striping on both front and rear lids. The newer handles are very strong, and the latches are sturdy.

I bought two with the specific purpose of protecting the front elements of my Canon 15x50 IS All-Weather Image Stabilized Binoculars. Both products are made by Canon, so they fit perfectly! Get them in combination with a pair of Canon 58mm Protector Filters and your investment will be safely protected for years to come.

The filter does exactly what I need it to. It protects the front of my lens and ensures weather sealing for my Canon 16-35mm f/4L. The built quality seems good, but time will tell how it holds up.

Haven't had it out in rough weather yet but so far protects front element of lens and doesn't seem to block much if any light.

I like to protect the front element of my lenses, especially when I'm out shooting in all kinds of weather. I trust Nikon for quality glass.

I recently started doing extreme weather live hits with a national network and knew I would encounter heavy downpours at some point. Fortunately, we've been setting up under overhangs or near doorways. The southeast hurricane season is fast approaching. Plus, taking on another project, and hearing rumors that the job required working in the rain, it was time to make a purchase to protect my investment. I'm satisfied with Sachtler Rain Poncho. Goes on easily. Conveniently stores away. However, I have the Betso Bowtie Fins on the front of my bag. So, the front edge of the poncho sits a little higher. Not a problem at all. Thanks Sachtler and B&H!

This Teal PLA turned out great. Inky has been out front for about 6 months under various weather condition and no issues. This turned out to be the best looking Teal for Inky.

As others have said, this is a well-designed and built all-in-one filter solution to seal the front lens element from the weather, at a reasonable price. The Fuji lens cap fits it perfectly. The color match for the silver camera may not be exactly perfect, but it's very close - close enough that I think it looks like it is part of the camera. With the lens cap on, this filter adds 1/4 to the thickness of the camera (I measured). I was originally considering not adding a filter (I don't shoot much in wet weather), but looking at the front element of the lens move in and out when turning the camera on, I concluded that this filter would keep dust out of the lens, if nothing else. A composite image is attached showing the camera with and without this filter, with and without the lens cap. Some folks have commented that their filter came loose from the ring. I haven't had it long enough to know if that might be a problem. I'll try to always use the lens cap when the camera goes into the bag, to hopefully prevent that from happening.
