You don't need to study the instruction manual, because it's so easy to use it right away. 5 |

It is inconvenient that there is no instruction manual. But the product itself is very good. 5 |

It does what it is supposed to do. Instruction manual was easy to understand and thorough enough for me. I have found nothing to complain about after a few uses. 5 |

Works as advertised. Intuitive to put together and use but would help to have an instruction manual. 5 |

This grip works fine when attached to my Pentax K-1. And I have read that it will also work with the upcoming K-1 Mark II. The only fault that I found is regarding the instruction manual. It barely tells you, in very small print on the first page of its English section, vague instructions about selecting the desired battery type & priority setting in the #4 Tool Menu of your K-1 camera. They should have hired a professional to author the manual. You have to first turn on the camera for the grip buttons to work. Turning on the grip will not turn on the camera, it will only activate the grip. The manual does not tell you this; you have to figure this and other things out yourself. The Instruction Manual is 85 pages, but only 9 of those pages are for English readers. The rest of the 76 pages are for a host of other languages (maybe even Swahili). This makes for an unnecessarily bulky instruction manual. They should have a separate manual for each language so that we can recycle those in the other languages. 5 |

One thing to note before adding this to your dashcam is that the instruction manual states that you need to unplug the power from the main camera before plugging in the GPS antenna. Heed this! If you don't, you could short some of the electronics inside the camera while pushing in the plug. The camera still receives power even if the key is off. Consequently, the same goes for the optional rear camera. That said, the installation couldn't be simpler and the most complex part is deciding where the antenna sticks to the windshield. I would plug it in first and you'll be able to tell how far away you can mount the antenna. It would certainly stink if you stuck it only to find that the cable wasn't long enough to reach the plug. 5 |
